Review: Pokemon X and Y

Pokemon games always come in pairs. Red and Blue, Gold and Silver, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl, Black and White and we can now add X and Y to. The two games are very similar with differences mainly in the Pokémon you will encounter. Therefore, we will deal with in a review. Both games Knowing where these games to make their potential

The main series in the Pokémon franchise has remained virtually intact since the first in 1996. Still, you are a beginner in the Pokemon world that is his or her first Pokémon may find out. Along with your new buddy you go all out to be the best trainer to beat. The Elite Four For this you will first need to collect eight gymbadges and so you would do well to move on your journey to catch. Many Pokemon With a team of six trained zakmonstertjes you a good chance to be the best and bring you. Quest to a successful conclusion

Mega Evolutions and Legendary Pokémon
In Pokémon X and Y is the basis also present. You and your mother travel to the region Kalos there to start a new life. Chance to feel at home you do not, because soon you will get called by the local Pokémon professor. You are indeed one of the teenagers today may choose. A first Pokemon In X and Y you get to choose from Fennekin (fire), Froakie (water) and Chespin (grass). Together with one of these Pokémon by your side you defeat your first Pokémon and you become embroiled in a search for the truth behind Mega Evolutions.

If you have, the news about Pokémon X and Y followed a bit then you no doubt already heard about the Mega Evolutions that are introduced in this game. Through the story you will gradually learn more about the new developments, and before you know it you will see the first Mega Pokémon appear before you. While you're gymleaders to beat Mega Evolutions are researching and new Pokémon to your Pokédex to're adding, you must also deal with Team Flare. Team Rocket of the Kalos region is hard to find a legendary Pokémon and the bad guys do not want you puts a stop to their plans.

Five to one and flying glory
The story is not very original, but it's honestly never been. Pokemon you play the addictive gameplay and that is in X and Y simply present again. In turn you let the monsters attack until one of the two KO's. Over the years, expanded the gameplay little by little. There were new types added to balance the fights better suddenly you could keep double battles and eventually became possible to fight against each other online and exchange. Pokemon Pokemon X and Y also has another number of submissions that the gameplay just to give to stand out from previous parts. That little extra

Two new combat situations for example. While going through the high grass, flowers, caves etc. is, there is the risk that a horde of five wild Pokémon attacked you. These Pokémon are always a slightly lower level for another chance. You with a single Pokémon How excited you the first time you as a horde encounters are so irritated you when it often begins to happen later. If your Pokemon has an attack that hit multiple opponents at the same time, the concept of a myriad of fun. You can not perform such an attack, you will one by one the Pokemon should turn off and this takes too much time to keep it. Entertaining After selecting your attack because you will have to wait until all five opponents have beaten you.

The new Sky Battles are better in taste. At various places in Kalos you see a trainer in one spot where you can not come. Here you can start a dogfight if you have a Pokemon in your team who can fly. Except that all Pokemon flying in these battles, there is not much else. There are not too many of these fights can be found in Kalos which keeps a nice change to the normal battles. This Sky Battles and Horde Battles can also be best seen as a bit of variety. There are tons of fights to win to finish at the top and then something else on his time always welcome.

A wonderful Pokémon world ... in 2D
Something else we get in Pokemon X and Y in the above image. Once you take your first steps in Kalos, it seems like you're traveling in time compared with the previous Pokemon games. Ahead ten years One of the simplest adjustment, the ability to run diagonally. After a few hours just want to play can not go back to just four direction options. Oblique paths also means that the world is a more realistic look than in previous parts. Paths that only run at 90 degrees after all you do not see in the real world.

It also helps to make you more to empathize with the character. Because you will have no isometric camera more complete game in the same place depends. The camera is dynamic and will reciprocate to really give yourself to walk around. Kalos in you feel Through the different camera angles has also for the first time in a Pokémon utility to adjust. Your character In the beginning you can choose color except sex now and in the big cities to find where you can give to new clothes. Pokedollars you from all shops

The only strange thing about the look is that you can not see it. 3D You walk around the Kalos-region and the camera gives you the best angle to create a 3D effect possible but it simply does not happen. The 3D part of Pokemon X and Y is limited to the fights and cutscenes. A full 3D world was our view really been the better choice. The 3d in the fighting comes awfully good dividends. The attacks and environments have been making depth the whole fight a lot more dynamic.

Playing with your Pokemon
Nintendo has tried in your Pokémon Pokémon X and Y than anything else to the merciless fighting machines away. With Pokémon Amie could you take time out of your adventure to play. With your Pokemon If you give someone a few times a pat on the head indicates he will be kinder to you.You can also play three different games here. They are simple games that you will not play for hours on end but they are nice enough now and then to boot. As a reward for playing candies that you get after you enter. Yourself to your Pokemon It really helps here to stabbing time because the greater the friendship between you and your Pokémon, the more they will be able to dodge attacks or to inflict a critical hit.

In Supertraining you can then train your monsters. At any time and wherever you are, you can start Super Training. This does not help in leveling up your Pokémon, but it will increase the statistics. You can do exercises to include a higher speed, greater attack power or more life energy. In small minigames you fight against an inflatable Pokemon. You win, you play quite a punching bag which you can increase your statistics. The first levels of this training are terribly easy and you without even completing any trouble. The levels become increasingly difficult, but really intense will unfortunately never be. How much time you will spend on Super Training is therefore remains to be seen.

Finally, progress!
The biggest reason why Pokemon X and Y is so great, is that right from the first moment by yourself that you are a completely new game to play. The series has really gone to immense progress since Black 2 and White 2, thanks to the dynamic camera and fights. If you've used a lot of fun playing Pokemon, but then are pulled out by the lack of innovation, this is the time to again give a chance to the series. With the addictive gameplay you tens to hundreds of hours of gameplay in Pokémon X and Y. A performance that is well worth a purchase.

I was about to say this review is horrendous...

But it makes sense that it is a translation...

Well i'm glad you read beyond the title. Kind of a rare thing these days :(

What did you think of the score. It's pretty good, right?

This has been the first Pokemon since Heart Gold (remake of my beloved Gold version) that has actually got me interested again.

Finally, a 3D Pokemon game!!! I've been wanting this for over 5 years and.... it's stuck on shitty hardware, let me clarify, the 3DS shitty low rez, low DPI screen destroys the IQ that the GPU can actually produce....I've been spoiled by smart phones and my PSvita screen.

I'm so conflicted at the moment, on one hand I have the Pokemon game I've always wanted, and on the other hand I have to buy a 3DS. The problem is, I refuse to support or buy shitty hardware, gotta vote with my dollar.

Dam it, if the PSvita never existed, this bullet would be much easier to swallow, but right now it's so hard since I already own a PSvita and absolutely love it.

God dammit Nintendo, why you gotta be this way!?!?!, every time I play any game on my bro's 3DS it feels like I've been taken back a generation, back to 2005, from the low rez screen, stylus touch, to the archaic non-multitasking OS...if Nintendo are the masters of anything, they are the masters of time travel -_-'

I dunno I guess I could always buy the game cuz it'll support the developer, and it's a developer I like, but burrow my bro's 3DS XL, that way I still vote with my dollar on not buying shitty hardware but sill get to play the game I want.

Decisions, decisions....fuck I hate being in this predicament, welp once the game is released in AusLand, I'll see if I inadvertently end up impulse buying the game and/or console....wish me luck XD

The 3DS is actually a pretty efficient little machine... Especially considering it only has about $100 worth of hardware in it.

Buy the 3DS used, buy Pokemon to support. Sell 3DS after if needed.
