Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Who's buying a Wii U now?????

I'm sure by now most of y'all have seen the new Super Mario 3d World trailer.  For those who have been on the fence about buying a Wii U, where do you stand now???

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

I will buy the wii u next year if they reduce its price again, or maybe if the new mario kart and the new smash get great reviews, i`ll buy it, right now i dont se any good reason to get it

Esencia de la excelencia

Already own one, but that trailer bumped my Wii U holiday sales prediction up a million units. That game looks killer!

Man, I need that Mario game. I already own the Wii U, but that Mario trailer just made me feel happier for buying the console so early in the lifecycle.

Looks great, but in the back of my mind I can't break the feeling that this engine looks like it was ripped off straight from 3D Land, which to me makes it seem a bit cheap.

The true deal breakers for me are gonna be Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros Wii U. If those games deliver, I'm in.

Your avatar totally made me nostalgia all over myself.  Makes me long for the good old days when I always looked forward to Ninty's games and wasn't so jaded about them as I am today.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I remember buying every video game magazine there was just to get the latest news and rumors on the Ultra 64.  I was really upset when they changed the name though.  I think the Wii U should be the Wii Ultra.

Already got it. I am, after all, not the apologist type of Nintendo fan. I put my money where my mouth is - ya know, the type of Nintendo fan Pachter luuves;p

Ditto!  I have countless issues of GamePro, Game Informer and Diehard Gamefan (my personal fav) magazines circa '95-'96 and even into '97.  Ultra 64 was so much better than Nintendo 64, although I must confess I do love the "N" logo that came out of the name change, so all's well in the end.
