Most probably he isn't segregating the release of a game to limits of publisher or developed by.

If you narrow the criteria enough for anything you can make it better than something else, but as you state its about the games, so who it was published or developed by shouldn't matter when comparing lists of released games.

That said how Rain has been missed from the topic is incredible, its one of the best games released this year in my opinion.

Well it's not really about narrowing criteria, they are discussing how much support either company gives their respective consoles. So whether they developed or published it is pretty important. Ni no Kuni released on PS3 this year, but as Sony neither developed nor published it, does that game show Sony supports their console? Not really. Or Dark on 360. MS had nothing to do with that. The list of 360 games he quoted were all published or developed by MS. As I said I was not claiming he was wrong, as a PS3 owner who plays a lot of PS3 games I am just genuinely wondering where all these games are he's talking about. But you're surely right, he is just counting releases Sony had nothing to do with.

Of the top of my head i'd say for 2013 its been/will be

gow:a
tlou
mlb13
puppeteer
sly cooper theives in time
nightcrawler
beyond two souls
gt6
until dawn
r&c into the nexus
invizamals
dust 514
rain
LBP hub

Probably a couple i've missed, including random second party offerings in the dating sim front here in japan.

Yeah I didn't consider any of the bolded since they aren't out yet. By the end of the year the list will look a lot bigger. Forgot about the couple in italics.
