NANOMACHINES, SON.

It's  time for Jack...to let 'er rip!

Lots of stuff in that game could certainly qualify.

Though I think 90% of the most truly "epic" moments in games -- including that game -- are during gameplay, not cutscenes.

Still, this isn't my sword.

Quick check of the thread to make sure no one has posted them but mostly from Final Fantasy IX. Sorry can't find all videos however:

FMV after fight with Beatrix in FFIX,
FFIX - Bahamut http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LNNHgsqIog
FFIX - Bahamut vs Alexander http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsYpasHUVc8 (plus after scene, can't find video)

Hmm, pie.

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Scene when the Greil Mercanaries arrive.

Tbh I didn't like Rising all that much despite the Monsoon theme and some of the cutscenes.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I honestly felt like the game had interesting content for an hour or two and they padded it up to 5-6 hours with boring corridor fighting and a color palette that made me think of 50 shades of grey all the time. It's ok for a playthrough but I never felt like I need to go back and play it again.

Some awesome cutscenes mentioned already like the fight from Crisis Core and the opening of FF8.

But for me, the Aerith one takes the crown. Not graphically stunning but the impact it had on me while playing.

Once you've played through ff7 to 9 you kind of get an insane standard of what cutscenes should be like.

Without a doubt the best cut scene I've ever seen. It's a massive spoiler though, so if you haven't played Xenoblade before, I recommend you don't watch it.

to bring some Nintendo into the mix:
Super Mario Galaxy, skipp to 4:10

I just thought the game was fun. :P

One of the best soundtracks I've heard all year, the mechanics were solid, the palette wasn't exciting but the game looked great, anyway. And it was just fun -- for 5-10 hours, of course. But there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe if I had paid for it I would have felt differently, haha.

(I played it at a friend's house, I didn't pirate it!)
