Natural expansion of the "government knows best" mindset rather then letting people make their own choices and mistakes.

excellent game tag!

@Kyuu you make a good argument for government taking on more parental duties.

Well.. parents can't do anything about their kids watching porn. Unless they force them to sleep in their room, stalk the hell out of them and take away their privacy rights. Which begets much worse problems.

@OP

I watched my first porn when I was 13 LOL.. man.. it was like heaven colliding with hell..

You can check to see if they have by going to your history in windows. Unless they have cleared their history the sites visited will be there. (you can also locate history in cookies, because set cookies usually include the url)

If you find any sites that are porn, open notepad, copy and paste the url in note pad and leave it open.

right click Internet Explorer, click the security tab. Click the red button with the - sign in it that says restricted sites. copy and paste the url of the sites you found in there. They will no longer be able to access them. Be certain their accounts do not have admin privileges or they can change this.

Also clicking on content and clicking enable will restrict sites that are rated a certain level, i am not sure what the level is, drawbacks are some sites are not rated and this will affect all users.

When you enable this feature it allows you to set the content level and assign a password.

Most important, keep all Internet devices in a public room.  Not in their bedroom.  Parents need to act like parents.

I think its good. It goes in coordination with the "adults only" thing. These porn websites claim that their content is for adults only yet they're fully aware that they make most money from horny youngsters xD

If pornography does some sort of damage on teenagers then the government must take the matter more seriously by putting stricter and more effective regulations. I mean how many teenagers would even read these silly "18+/21+" warnings? LOL

Your argument is sound, and not unlike what some of my friends have been saying. I've been clicking the "yes I'm over 18" button since I was 12, so I should know. xD

I have scant details on the implementation process itself. I discussed the implications and jusification for the issue with different people, but those details have eluded me thus far.

And I concur about the ads lol I have not seen one in some time due to ad block, but like you said they're pointless since you can lie. xD I never went for anything that poped up at me though. I always tend to think about the law of unintended consequences when I do things, and I got the impression - even at an early age - that I'd get a LOT more than I bargined for with some of these things.

Just another stupid law diverting attention from the real problems in this country.

This thread should of said about the "gagging" law instead.

They should ban Geordie Shore first

Yeah you say that, I'm actually serious about that. I think it does far more damage.
