I get that it's annoying to see people celebrate one platform over another and just fanboy it up with certain posts.  I get annoyed to and have called people out on it myself.  But this is a sales site so posting a prediction on a thread, even if is an opinion, shouldn't be that big of a surprise.  Actually, a thread like this is probably more expected than a "what's your favorite video game?" type thread, because it pertains to the site's theme.

I'll call out a troll any day when they post fanboy stuff regarding the consoles wars, but conflating a thread about sales predictions (based off buzz and current information) with people having a "party" doesn't make much sense.

I think as the gen goes on, the extra features the xbox one is designed around will aid it to outsell the ps4 for the last 4 years of the generation.

Before I thought PS4 would have a tough time outselling Xbox1 here in the US, but now I think PS4 will definitely outsell Xbox1 in the US. Initially the sales will be pretty close at launch, but as the general public will figure out that games like COD Ghosts and BF4 look much better on PS4, the sales will start turning in to PS4's favor.

By the end of 2015? Xbox One will be ahead in NA, who knows by how much but everywhere else outside the UK, PlayStation will reign supreme.


Let's not forget about Brazil though. It has a population of over 200 million and Xbox One's are being sold there much cheaper than PS4's. It could be a factor much, much later in this generation. PlayStation will be ahead, but not by as much as some are thinking.

ps4 no question will be ahead WW and in every region UK US whatevar forget about 3rd partys being superior on PS4 the main factor is that its $100 cheaper

as for the ratio havent put much thought in it but if i had to throw out numbers id say PS4 25M vs XB1 16M by end of 2015

Now that PS4 supply has almost caught up to the demand in the US, the PS4 sold 74k as opposed to Xb1 which sold 54k this week. For global sales, PS4 sold 170k compared to Xb1 82k.

As the year goes, the gap between PS4 and Xbox1 should get greater, so in the US, PS4 should outsell Xb1 almost 2-to-1. For global sales, after PS4 comes out in Japan, I expect the PS4 to outsell Xb1 almost 3-to-1.
