That last paragraph is serious twisting.

This is going too far. Everytime I see you're not understanding my points I try to build a bridge (between my logic and yours) that you can walk in and see what I'm really talking about...but you simply move away to a farther position. I can't keep on going after you.

Just tell me what do you think it's wrong in what I said or disconnected to the topic and I will answer.

Maybe this will help us to get to the point:

1 - You said "Nintendo invests their money into games and employees" -  I said: Profit = Revenue - Cost ; Cost = investment on games and consoles + other things

2 - Since Sony went to the home consoles business, they sold many more games and consoles than Nintendo --> Sony revenue > Nintendo revenue

3 - Since Sony went to the home consoles business until now (from 1995 to 2013) they've spent more than what they've earned --> Sony profit < 0

4 - In the same time period, Nintendo has profited a lot --> Nintendo profit >> 0 ...and profit, my friend, is money you don't ever see again into games and consoles, it went already to Nintendo shareholders.

5 - On the other hand, from point 3 I can say all the money Sony has earned is into games and consoles...it's here in the industry for us, gamers. Maybe you think it's a waste, once you've said "Everyone else wastes their money.". But then you just don't like games. I can't take any other conclusion from your words.

6 - Then you said "You forget, Nintendo see's themselves as a toy company." - Well, I don't forget that and I replied talking about Sony's GAME DIVISION and Microsoft's GAME DIVISION through the points 1 to 5, it's all there in my last post.

7 - Finally you said "Gotta keep people happy and interested. That's what they're working on." - And now the conclusion is very clear: gotta squeeze people's money, that's what they have been working on. They only spend the enough to get a sale. Then, when they already have your money, it's only a small part that goes to games and consoles again. The rest goes to the shareholders. And that's a fact. It's simple maths: Profit = Revenue + Cost --> Nintendo: high profit (high revenue, low cost) --> just a small part of what you give to them goes to games and consoles again ; Sony: negative profit (high revenue, higher cost) --> all the money gamers spend and some more goes to games and consoles again.

I can't explain it simpler than this. Now I will wait for you to tell me what do you think it's wrong in this reasoning.

I won't reply to the rest of your post because that has nothing to do with our discussion. You didn't really replied to my last paragraph and even ignored the other ones. Maybe when you start answering to these topics we can move on to other ones too.

So it's been about 70 hours since owning my Wii U. After having time to let it sink in I understand now more than ever. This IS the perfect video game system. Still need some Wiimotes so I can experience the system at it's fullest. Sales boost means more than just more sales for Nintendo, it means thousands more own the system, thousands more will not only see potential but experience it firsthand through Zelda. It was a brilliant move to bundle the game with the system.

This being my first playthrough of The Wind Waker, and my first second screen experience, it opened my eyes to what why they chose this. I would not want to experience WW any other way. Having the inventory and maps literally at your fingertips. A fear I, (and other have), had was that it would break the immersion but i actually find myself even more immersed than when playing without the gamepad! Pause menus take you out of the action, this doesn't. But the real reason this was Nintendo's best bet is the sailing. Managing the map on the gamepad while you sail streamlines the overall experience and I honestly can't imagine playing without this gamepad. Having to pause to see the map stopping your movement seems awful now,  archaic even. This truly feels like next generation gaming. Much more so than even jumping from GC to 360. As more people play this game, first-timers or those who played the original, they'll understand the worth of the second screen.

This system is an amazingly designed piece of hardware, even going down to stuff like TVii and the browser. This really is everyone's system. I now find myself placing the gamepad on it's stand on my desk and browsing on that instead, even with my PC inches away! This will spread fast, once the masses get their hands on this amazing machine, and it's already started WWHD was the killer app the system needed. The momentum won't stop from this point forward.

I now have more confidence now than ever before. I believe in this little box!

Did its shinyness glisten for you when you took it out the box?

Im sorry man, but you gotta understand, you cant have a relationship with your consumer base that is healthy with the current mindset and approach you're trying to stick to Nintendo.

Infact you sound like these people.

Nintendo aint like that man.

People who think they know, but they dont really "know"

It really is a great little system. Make sure to try out Nintendoland as that is a great collection of showing a bumch of gimmicks only possible with the gamepad.

Gimmicks that translate into meaningful gameplay in the future perhaps^

*stares at Metroid Blast*

Oh I never mean anything negative with the term gimmick.

Nintendoland is just a showcase of those mechanics, so I consider them gimmicks. Like a movie designed to showcase 3D is a gimmick, while a movie that just has 3D to aid in immersion is not a gimmick.

Oh no Im just expressing my views over some of the WiiSports stuff that got turned into waggle

It was beautiful! I'm glad I decided to hold out for the bundle. I've yet to touch the screen, I'm making sure it stays in top shape. Those demo systems dont do the gamepad justice. Here I am with this amzing tablet that's pretty much replaced my PC. Who knows, if Nintendo allows more third party apps, say a printer app and some other accessibility apps, this could all but replace PCs!

Of course I joke but to be honest, if there was a download system for files and media playback I'd never turn my computer on again.

Its mostly because the demo systems are white.

Lol. Yeah they really dont do the console justice.

Ha, shame about the VC library but of course it is year one, and you know what they say about Rome.

Think we'll ever get Super Mario RPG?
