^ They dont sell them in Poland/Norway as far as I know.

They really gotta start expanding and selling more of their systems in these markets. They're the least expensive after al

They dont sell it in Norway? Well, not now, but that is only cause it sold out after the price cut/Zelda bundle thingy. The largest electronics retailer is awaiting new shipments next week.

No I mean the only shops who have them are imported...

Nintendo officially released WiiU in Norway at the same time as the rest of western Europe.

Oh so they have a Nintendo of Norway?

They dont need a Nintendo of Norway. They only need an official Nintendo distributor, which is Bergsala AB.

Oh okay.

I think its one of those countries around the netherlands (poland) that has to import WiiU's

It could be some eastern european countries have to import, but the Netherlands and Norway are western european countries. Nintendo have official distribution partners or offices in every western european country.

I think teh only one they dont have one for is Iceland and that place that sold 318 wiiu's

My mistake on the first part, I thought u were Iimplying Wii was only as powerful as PS1. Maybe ur right if it was a straight downport but if they made a version built from the ground up for Wii then it would be able to surpass San Andreas.

And do you think they would ever do it? Rockstar? Picking their number 1 IP and creating a version from the ground for just 1 console? And that console would be a casual one like the Wii? Never.

Look at what they did on 3DS: they decided to take a small risk (producing a handheld game) at the console with around 70% of the market and tailored for touch-screen and the casual experience. What was the result? Bad sales... so bad that they ported it to PSP (less market share, no touch-screen and not tailored to the casual experience) and it sold nearly as much. If they took a big risk (a GTA for 1 single home console)...on the Wii...then it would have been an epic fail.

On the other hand, look at the sales AAA hardcore games like Assassin's Creed III and Batman Arkham City are having on the Wii U. Those are almost epic fails (they aren't just that much because they were released on other consoles and they sold very well on them).

If success is based on expectations then Wii was an enormous success because nobody thought it would come close to reaching 100m when it was first released. The ultimate goal of a product is to make money and Wii made billions, yes it didnt last as long as thr competition but it followed a typical nintendo cycle of 5-6 years. The Wii didnt fail, Nintendo just failed to follow up its success.

...on your point of view, yes it was. But now that the 7th generation is ending, my point of view is more long-term and, as I already demonstrated, I consider the Wii as a long-term failure. And don't forget that many people, like the creator of this forum topic, expected the Wii to sell 500M. On their point of view, the Wii is for sure a failure too.

Not for me. The ultimate goal of a product for me as a gamer is to make me happy (to amuse me, to challenge me, to touch me). And as a videogaming enthusiast (like we all that post on gaming forums are) the thing that matters the most to tell whether a console was a success or a failure is popularity: number of consoles sold, number of games sold... not how heavy are the pockets of who is behind the industry. I know Nintendo profited more from this generation than Sony or Microsoft. But that is a flag that even the most Nintendo extreme fans should be ashamed of ever using to claim Nintendo's success. As a PS3 owner, I'm proud that all the money I spend goes to the development of more games and consoles (for me that's success) and not to the pockets of greedy men (for me that's failure).

I think ur taking what im saying out of context, I never said Rockstar would or should do such a thing. All im saying is if Rockstar chose to make a GTA for Wii then it would have potential to be on par or better than San Andreas. Assassins Creed>Prince of Persia, Mass Effect>Knights of the Old Republic, Resident Evil 5> Resident Evil 4, Skyrim> Morrowind.

It doesnt matter what ur individual idea of what success means, the ultimate goal of almost any company is to make money. The Wii made a shitload of money so it was successful and cannot be considered a failure. Maybe u dont like the direction they went with Wii but that doesnt stop it from being successful. Also anyone who thought Wii would sell 500 million is a fucking idiot, im talking about realistic expectations from knowledgeable people like analysts and people involved in the gaming industry. Nobody thought Wii would sell the way it did and thats including Nintendo so it did surpass expectations. Just because a few random people with absolutely no logic thought it would sell over triple the best selling console ever doesnt mean it failed to meet expectations.

It says PS4.

NOT PS3 NOR PS Vita.

Technically you are correct even if you said it in the most ass way possible.  But I don't think this is really going to amount to anything.  Until I see Nintendo bringing out a game that Sony or MS turned down due to censorship I'm going to operate under the assumption that these are guidelines that all of the three have to one degree or another.  Now I'll ask one last time, do you have any examples of that occuring?
