Bull. Would make absolutely no sense.
2004? not sure about that but I know the Xbox1 released a kinect-less bundle in 2001, though.

True True!
My Mother's friends' brothers, housekeeper has a cousin who knows somone, who's college roomate's 2nd kid who worked at Pizza Hut, who once fill the gas tank up of Bill Gate in 1978 in New Jersery, when self serve pumps were against the law, has confirmed this!
So it must be true!
This is how this new model will look (oh well, looked because it says 2004..):

I think this group is trying to pull the biggest gag on the community. Really in poor taste in my opinion.
An Xbox One without Kinect is just like a really good gaming machine, not an amamzing 'oh wow, this is great!' one. I don't belive the rumor.
Could not be happier if true, its taking time but they have pretty much changed everything i hated about the original XBone reveal. Might be getting one next year now instead of 2015.

How on earth would a $150 price cut from a periperal 90% of early adopters dont want ruin anything.
Cheaper X1 without Kinect sounds like a plan, that I can afford and the title should be edited lol!

Because it stops being a 100% included peripheral and devs will ignore it, pretty much like they do with current kinect. Those of use that like it want it to be included to push development forward. Sony made a mistake by removing the camera and unless it sells by the boatload it will get minimal support from 3rd parties, leading to lower sales because of lack of support which in turn leads to poor sales and so on and so on, ad infinitum.
