Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Windows Phone increasing by 50% would be very good considering no major phone got released during this quarter.

Expect some good news. In recent time, the whole internet is full of negative news towards to Microsoft. Now it is the time for MS to fight back.

lol I love how nobody is actually commenting here especially Sony fans.... MS is doing great and is back on track with their 2000 and pre 2008 state.... nobody can really trash talk on that thread so nothing is happening... this just goes to show how that website turned over the years... oh well good thing there is still a strong minority to make it worth it to come back....

anyway I think we will see more greatness from MS in the near future they are completely reworking their core structure to have more streamlined ecosystem.... the line between professional need, geek needs and mainstream is shading fast....

they've upped their speed of development to, and have great visions for the future if you dig through the crap the community is building up.... infrastructure in new tech are spreading etc.... I haven't been that excited about the future of the geek world since the mid 90's

There are nothing to comment yet because the RESULTS ARE NOT OUT... Sony fans like me always comments in @kowen threads about the MS financial when the results are out.

well my good sir you are actually one of the respectable sony fan (even if I hate that word, it's too general) around here of what I have seen lately ....

but we already have many numbers available.... licence sales for win8, WP q to q comparaison.... market cap... everything points out that MS is doing good so far this year... from a financial state point that is... which the bottom line really for most corporation....

Hey, it's gonna be a fabulous year for MSFT's stock, i mean with

-Windows 8 selling like crack in the urban jungle

-Android taking over mobile

-Xbox 1 being the best console ever, revolutionary

they cannot fail.

Have a great year, MSFT investors!

Nokia announce same day and should be looking for slight improvement again this quarter as they make progress.  Before that later this week the new Lumia 41mp camera phone , which looks ridiculously good, is announced - 11th July.  I have another 12 months or so on my 920 though!! arrgghhh.

Executive briefing: Well guess what? MSFT is also unhappy with Nokia's performance. MSFT is expecting more sales from Nokia, so this is like a couple that is unhappy with each other, not just one partner expressing problems. Also featured in the article, is the expected decline in resources spent on research and development, as well as layoffs. So, expect Nokia to get even smaller in size moving forward.

Executive briefing: For the first source, Nokia investors are having problems with Nokia being a company that relies on MSFT platform, as it isn't being the boon that the CEO promised for the company a couple of years ago. Several investors have expressed doubts, and some pension funds have sold a large portion of their position in Nokia.

well last track numbers on win8 license sales are on track to take over OS X last 3 distribution numbers within the next 12 months....

WP is on track to take over iOS second spot in several major emerging countries and some European countries too.... (Europe is twice the number of inhabitant than NA may I remind you)

heck even bing is eating up market shares from google which is nothing short from a miracle....

and basing XB1 sales forecast on the minority of hardcore gamers like us would be the dumbest thing to do for financial investor.... that box will appeal to way more than the regular gamer I'm sure of it.... and even if it tracks behind PS4 it will still be a commercial success

and if sales number were to be the only relevant fact in finance apple market cap wouldn't be that high.... they are still a miserable second in PC OS share, are dwarfed by android in the mobile OS market and well tablet is still a marginal market overall even if growing fast.... are non existent in servers and have been merely showing redesigns barely upgraded stuff for half decade now.... the only really big business they have is iTune....

MS on the other hand has way more things in the pipeline than apple or many of its competitor they are leading in so many businesses and have so much in R&D that they are safe for several decades from a financial state point.... but hey true... regular joe opinions on finance is always fun to read....
