Good news, i bought the Asus dual RX 580 8GB cheaper for about $275 from the local and yeah, the prices for the graphics cards have finally recovered. Gotta update my spec for a moment.

Congrats!

Now we only need RAM prices to go down too.

Please excuse my bad English.

It's decreasing RAM prices down slowly, let's just wait for it until Aug 2018, hopefully cheaper than before.

So I've noticed that some people on here aren't kosher with Nvidia partnering up with SE with the new TR game (or any other partnership for that matter).

I have to wonder then, when is it "ok" for Nvidia to partner up with any other dev?.

I wasn't a big fan of that Nvidia partnership program from a few weeks back, but I do however like my HBAO+ and other tech that they've tossed out over the past few years.

We see console exclusives implementing tech that remains exclusive to their system/platform over the years. I don't see why the same cannot be done for PC.

August? What happens in August?

Also, if RAM prices come down, it may be for that lawsuit against the big three.

My problem with that is two fold:

1) I don't like exclusive features in general. Instead of promoting the tech forward for all, that just fractures the market more and more, being counterproductive.

2) Nvidia has the terrible habit of implementing some of those features in such a way that can not be turned off and at the same time cause AMD products to perform worse than they should, "by accident".

I don't know about the seller, he is expecting that the RAM prices will get back to normal in the end of August, who knows.

And wow to lawsuit.

We see this with first party console games. I mean, if we're going to go against one, we'd have to go against the other, rather than excusing the former, while telling the other to share said tech.

Yeah, tha second point is something that needs working on going forward.

PCgamer's playthrough does look rather janky in the AI/mechanics dept.

The visuals don't really look on par with what I'd expect from a 2018 game, backed by the money MS has.

It honestly looks virtually identical to the X1 version, which honestly doesn't bode well.

it just looks like the same game, just with a new coat of visual paint. Driving mechanics look wonky just like the original game as well.

I'm sure at this point, that they just rebuilt the old game and slapped new visuals onto it, with a different story.

I wonder if I should look into the issue of my GPC sometimes not starting. I press the power button and after a few seconds it turns off again. Then I press it again and everything is fine. Got no other issues with the PC.

Is this something new or has it been happening since you build it?

No idea if it's new. I never turned it off before.

Is is just me, or does this game look exceptionally ugly?

It's ugly. They are probably running that off original Xbox hardware because of all the jaggies.

Still almost $200 AUD more expensive here for the RX 580 than what I paid like 12 months ago... It should be a $300 AUD card, not a $600 card anyway.
Australia getting' fleeced still.

I wouldn't complain about a rapid transition to DDR5 either.

But I'm sorry you're having problems with the coding of the site.

No need to apologize, it isn't your fault. (Or is it? Haha.)
Hopefully the website developers pull their finger out eventually.

Not even once in almost three months? Yikes!

I turn it off every day and, if I leave home for a while, I also turn it off and then on when I come back.

DDR5? And start all over again with low supplies, smartphone markers hoarding all of it and thus leading to stupidly high prices? Not yet, thanks.

Why don't we kill DDR3 first so there are more lines for DDR4?

Also, I'd also like to see some of the problems solved as soon as possible.
