Although, perhaps Steam summer sale will have cheaper than this, who knows!

I've just noticed that there's a crazy E3 sale at UPlay right now, with some games having an up to 75% discount.

*Edit*

Also, Nvidia is having its second "E3 is #GameReady" contest, with lots og goodies including 50 GTX1080Tis, an Oculus Rift and several monitors: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/e3-2017-gameready-contest?ncid=so-fac-3gdct-15393

You'll need twitter.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Alright bois! I am almost finished with my New PC upgrade. Here are the before and after specs:

CPU: Amd Phenom 2 1090T ------------- Ryzen 7 1700
Ram: 8Gb of DDR3 at 1333mhz -------- 16Gb of DDR4 at 3200mhz
GPU: Asus Strix 970 ----------------------- MSI Seahawk 1080 Liquid Cooled
Motherboard: Asrock Extreme 3 R2 -- Asus Crosshair VI Hero

That is an amazing jump. You should be tickled pink. :)

How did you survive with that Phenom for all this time? I only stuck with mine for about a year before the need to upgrade came along, even running at 4ghz with a 3ghz NB clock, it wasn't enough. (Plus I wanted USB 3.0, Sata 3.0, PCI-E 3.0.)
Did you have it overclocked?

Well funly enough, I mostly didn't use it all that often for the past few years cause I was in another province for my bachelors. And then when I came back, Amd announced Ryzen and I was like f it, I may as well wait and so, I waited about a year or so which wasn't too bad cause overwatch came out and the good old phenom still managed to run it at 60 fps without any drops. I was mainly with my laptop for the most part when I was doing my bachelors so... For it's last few years, it was mostly just not doing much. Still, thanks to my 970, games weren't too much of an issue for the most part since many games ran at pretty good fps.

If I didn't go to Edmonton for my bachelors, I'd probably gotten an intel system by then though loll

And nahh, I havn't overclocked it yet. Computex showed off some really good coolers which I am waiting to come out before I oc it.

And yea, the upgrade is amazing!!!!

Thanks dude! I was thinking about waiting but I MSI 1080 Hybrid with that corsair liquid cooler on it went on sale for about $650 cad which is about $480 usd. Since the liquid coolers are usually on the higher end of the specturm when it comes to price range and since usually, 1080s cost about $750 cad, I am like F it.

And yea, I wanted to wait for Vega but they really just took wayyyy to long to release it for me.

It better run Overwatch at 60fps. My old Core 2 Quad I have does. Haha.

Wraith cooler is actually pretty solid, you will have some headroom on that cooler either way.

DDR4 4600mhz quad-channel? *Wets self*

Almost at the point where DDR4 System memory is almost equal to the GDDR5 memory in the Playstation 4 in terms of bandwidth whilst offering superior latency.
