DARK SOULS 3 – UPDATE 1.09 IS NOW AVAILABLE
http://www.dsogaming.com/news/dark-souls-3-update-1-09-is-now-available/
FromSoftware has released a new patch for Dark Souls 3. This patch comes with a number of fixes and will update your game’s version to 1.09. However, it appears that the patch was released really early on the PC as the game servers have not been updated yet. As a result, PC gamers are currently unable to login to the game’s servers.

ENDLESS SPACE 2 ROLLS OUT FIRST OF THREE MAJOR PRE-RELEASE UPDATES
http://www.pcgamer.com/endless-space-2-rolls-out-first-of-three-major-pre-release-updates/
Announced in mid-2015, Endless Space 2 entered Steam's Early Access initiative last month to wide user-review acclaim. A few weeks later, developer Amplitude Studios outlined a development roadmap that promised three substantial updates prior to full release—the first of which is out now.

GEARBOX BOSS RANDY PITCHFORD TEASES A DECEMBER 1 ANNOUNCEMENT
http://www.pcgamer.com/gearbox-boss-randy-pitchford-teases-a-december-1-announcement/
Gearbox Software will be announcing something new on December 1, according to a recent tweet by CEO Randy Pitchford. The word came down in a response a tweet from COG Connected, who jokingly suggested (in response to another tweet) that a Duke Nukem/Gears of War crossover would be a good idea.

>>I hope it's not like the last game they announced.

MINECRAFT: STORY MODE EPISODE 1 GOES FREE ON STEAM "FOR A LIMITED TIME"
http://www.pcgamer.com/minecraft-story-mode-episode-1-goes-free-on-steam-for-a-limited-time/
The first episode of Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode went free last month, which was a good bit of news tempered somewhat by the qualifier that it was for Windows 10 only, and exclusively available from the Microsoft store. If that put you off giving it a shot (or if you don't happen to be running Windows 10), then you'll be happy to know that you can now get it for the same price of "free" from Steam.

>>I guess it's the listed demo on Steam, because the game still has a price.

So in other news, I gambled with black Friday and tell me if you guys think I made the right choice.

So I saw a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB for $150 CAD, normally $210. So I bought it asap, and then a deal came for the Crucial MX300 750GB for $140 CAD. So I thought about it and went with the 850 cause while I am getting 250GBs less, the performance is way better.

So what do u guys think?

There's an old spanish saying ("El burro grande, ande o no ande") that sums my approach: always get the bigger one.

If both SSDs are SATA, the difference between them in everyday tasks will be minimal but, with time, you'll definitely notice the extra capacity.

At least, that's my point of view.

The news, part two:

UBISOFT KICKS OFF "30 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS"
http://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-kicks-off-30-days-of-giveaways/
With 2016 drawing to a slow motion fiery ending, Ubisoft has stepped up its "Ubi 30" anniversary giveaways from one a month (although that's still going on—there's one more free game left) to one a day. It's basically an electronic advent calendar that looks like it was made out of a Christmas placemat and 30 tiny takeout boxes: Every day, from now until December 23, you pop open a box, and get whatever's inside for free.

BLIZZARD'S BLACK FRIDAY SALE DISCOUNTS OVERWATCH AND WORLD OF WARCRAFT
http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzards-black-friday-sale-discounts-overwatch-and-world-of-warcraft/
As you might have expected, Blizzard is hosting its own Black Friday sale. These are probably not the most jaw-dropping of bargains you'll see this week, but it'll especially appeal to folk who still haven't checked out World of Warcraft. That game is available at a steeply reduced price (£4.99 / US$4.99 / AU$6.25), with all expansions included except Legion.

UBISOFT EXEC WARNS THAT "IT'S NOT GOING TO BE THE SAME UBISOFT" IF VIVENDI TAKES OVER
http://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-exec-warns-that-its-not-going-to-be-the-same-ubisoft-if-vivendi-takes-over/
French media conglomerate Vivendi has slowly but surely been working toward acquiring a controlling interest in Ubisoft, and Ubisoft equally surely been doing its best to fend it off. Vivendi brings enough financial muscle to the table that if it really wants to take over, it likely will, sooner or later. But in an interview with PCGamesN, Ubisoft's vice president of live operations Anne Blondel warned that losing its independence would likely have a very negative impact on the gamesit makes.

GET SOME CHRISTMAS HEARTHSTONE WARMTH WITH THIS DIGITAL MURLOC FIREPLACE
http://www.pcgamer.com/get-some-christmas-hearthstone-warmth-with-this-digital-murloc-fireplace/
It's nearly Christmas, and that means at least two things: awkward political conversations with relatives and getting drunk at midday. It doesn't need to mean those things, though: you could spend time with the Murloc instead, the amphibian Hearthstone / World of Warcraft race which wavers between very cute and utterly petrifying.

FAILBETTER REVEALS NEW DETAILS ABOUT SUNLESS SKIES
http://www.pcgamer.com/failbetter-reveals-new-details-about-sunless-skies/
In a post on its website, Failbetter Games has revealed some new details about its Sunless Sea follow-up, Sunless Skies. The main thing to take away from the post is that, unlike Sea, there won't be one main port in the game, but multiple. This changes the dynamic of exploration, and should hopefully make navigating the map less of a chore over time.

TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER SHOWCASES REALM OF THE WOOD ELVES DLC IN MOTION
http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-showcases-realm-of-the-wood-elves-dlc-in-motion/
Dubbed its "biggest DLC to date", Total War: Warhammer's incoming Realm of the Wood Elves expansion is due in less than two weeks. When it lands it'll boast Durthu, the latest Legendary Lord to meander in its murdergrounds—an Elder of Athel Loren who comes packing a host of perks and powers, some of which developer The Creative Assembly has now teased.

As for the weekend deals, the summary is quite easy: GOG.com is running its Black Friday Sale, and Steam is running its Autumn Sales.

And that's it. Have a nice and gaming weekend.

Benchmarks for Intel’s upcoming overclocking ready i3 7350K 4.2Ghz dual core CPU have made their way to the web and they’re nothing short of impressive. This little dual core Kaby Lake chip nearly outperforms all of Intel’s current and previous generation quadcore i5 CPUs, save for a few. And with an overclocking friendly unlocked multiplier it can be pushed to Sandy Bridge i7 territory.

I was thinking that too but then the reviews were pretty eh about it as far as performance goes. So I was like meh cause I do have my other 3.5TB hard drives so storage isn't my issue but speed is.

And I got it for less than 400 €, which is quite unvelievable for a GTX 1070 over here.

The jump in performance from my trusty 5850 is going to be astronomical .

Hey guys, way out of my comfort zone here, so my old man passed a PC game to me and was like i need a new tower than can make this game work. So i know nothing about PC gaming, he wants to play Football Manager 2017

The requirments are

OS: Windows Vista (SP2), 7 (SP1), 8, 8.1, 10 (1607) – 64-bit or 32-bit. Processor: Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core or AMD Athlon – 2.2 GHz + Memory: 2 GB RAM. Graphics: Intel GMA X3100, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT or AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 – 256MB VRAM.

So what would be an optimal PC to play this game? just a simple to read bullet point list of what he should be looking to get (it doesnt need to play it at max settings) that i can pass on to him. Thanks guys.

Welcome to this part of the site .

Those are the minimum specs, and they won't be enough to run the game well enough for a pleasuring game experience. What monitor will he be using? A FullHD one?
