And at Fanatical there are two new sales:

AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.7.4 available for download
AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.7.4 driver fixes an application crash or hang in Grand Theft Auto 5 on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
Unfortunately, that’s the only issue that has been addressed in this new driver. As such, and for those that are not playing GTA 5, there is no reason at all to upgrade your drivers to this latest version.
>> Available from here.

AMD wants Destiny 2 players to help test a beta chipset driver for third-gen Ryzen
It has taken a few weeks, but AMD is starting to roll out an updated chipset driver that is supposed to address an issue preventing Destiny 2 from running on third-generation Ryzen setups.
The caveat is that this "workaround driver" is a beta release. AMD put out a call to users on Reddit to test it out, noting that seeing an "installer warning or two" is normal if upgrading from an existing driver.

Manhunt Remaster is now available on the PC thanks to this overhaul mod
Manhunt fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Danoman’ has released a new version of his Blood Moon mod for Manhunt. This mod basically aims to provide a remastered version of Manhunt by enhancing all textures (resampled orginals 2x), all effects (like particles blood splatters or bullet holes), modifying the AI (more agressive and can see you from a mile) and changing gunplay (guns have proper names and can shoot far away like in reality – shootouts are real fun now).
Blood Moon Manhunt also changes damage input and output for every firearm or melee weapon (you give as much damage as you recive from foes), changes the main menu a little to better fit whole snuff theme (and “Kill the Rabbit” is now properly named “Pool of Tears”), and makes it possible so that every scene can have its own self made loading picture.
>> Get this mod from ModDB.

Daggerfall Unity remasters the classic Elder Scrolls
Since 2014, Gavin Clayton has been remaking The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall in Unity, making the incredibly ambitious RPG a bit more palatable—and moddable—for modern sensibilities. It's more of a remaster than something like Skywind or Skyblivion, however, with Clayton preserving the original but with high-resolution textures, mouse-look and, perhaps most importantly, bug fixes. There were a lot of them.
Over the weekend, Clayton announced that Daggerfall Unity's alpha release was imminent (cheers, Reddit), with the last bits of the v0.9 roadmap almost finished. On the roadmap itself, he adds that he's focusing on bug fixes and overall polishing, while mod and translation support will continue to be developed until it hits 1.0.
>> You'll need the original game in order to play it (you can grab it for free from Bethesda, for example).

This Skyrim mod adds an 'immersive' Bethesda.net login requirement
During QuakeCon, the original Doom trilogy was released on consoles and mobile. It was a nice surprise, except for the the additional surprise of an online requirement in strictly singleplayer ports. Players needed to make a Bethesda.net account and log in to play, hopefully avoiding connection errors. Clearly this is a feature other Bethesda games need. One modder agrees and has added it to Skyrim.
The Immersive Bethesda.net Experience will ruin your game by trying—and failing—to connect to Bethesda.net. The exciting moment has been captured in the video above. It will never succeed and after five attempts will kick you back to the main menu.
>> Sounds like fun... If you're bored and want to try it (why would you?!) here are the links for the vanilla and Special Edition versions of the mod.

Hitman 2 cools off with Siberian prison Sniper Assassin map
Hitman 2 has a cure for this hot, hot summer: Agent 47 is going to Siberia. It's a new Sniper Assassin map set in a private prison. The trailer calls it the most inhospitable environment on Earth, but obviously IO Interactive wasn't in my flat last week, where even the air was on fire.

An audio file hidden in the Halo Infinite E3 trailer hints at Cortana's return
Remember the Halo Infinite trailer that appeared in June at E3, "Discover Hope?" (If not, that's it up above.) A guy stranded in deep space discovers the floating body of the big boy in green, pulls him into his ship, hits him with the interstellar defibrillator, and kapowie! He's back on his feet and ready for action. Which is a good thing, because there's trouble afoot.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was originally going to be about a completely different character
Elias Toufexis has performed a lot of roles over the years—here he is in a 2005 episode of the Canadian crime drama Da Vinci's Inquest—but one of his biggest has to be that of Adam Jensen, the lead character of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. His roughed-edged voice is a hallmark of the series: "I never asked for this" is one of the most famous videogame utterances to come along in years.

Cthulhu Saves Christmas sends ol' tentacle face on a quest to save Santa

You'll probably lose the Battle of Winterfell in this tough browser game
If you stalwartly stuck with Game of Thrones until its finale a few months back, you'll know how the Battle of Winterfell ends. I don't. I read the books several years ago and refused to watch the show for reasons I can't explain so now I'm feeling quite left out.
But in Winter Falling, a short browser game very heavily based on Game of Thrones' finale, I can decide for myself how the battle goes. Or I would, if I were skilled enough to win on purpose. For now I'll claim that I meant to bring a fresh new perspective to the story by repeatedly losing in a total rout.

The Good Life, Swery's life sim RPG, is delayed until 2020

Hoping this is a return to form. Last NFS game I enjoyed was Rivals. I haven't played Payback but I've not heard good things.

IIRC the PC port of Rivals was trash though (Locked to 30fps).

LTD Sales Predictions: PS4 - 130m, Switch - 110m, XBO - 52m
2019 Sales : PS4 - 15m, Switch - 18.8m, XBO - 4.8m

Well, it's EA, which means that, except for their sport games (that are mostly the same year after year so they're really hard to mess), they tend to have a lot of misses these days, even if the games sell well.

I hope the game is good, I always hope for games to be good, but comiong from this EA it's better to not get too excited.

MOBO: That's the trickiest part. Only AMD's X570 boards support PCIe 4.0 so, if you want to be able to it, they're your only choice. I can only tell you to look at reviews of models you like and see what they say about the chipset cooling. Some boards have a heatpipe that connect it to the CPU's VRMs to help with the cooling, as well as having the fan at idle most of the time (and thus making it less prone to failures).

If it is a well-designed aka "premium" board, the fan shouldn't fail all that quickly. The old Sabertooth X79 board I had has a fan which has been fine since 2011... And running almost constantly. But it does mean an extra failure point, no doubt.

The issue with chipset fans tends to be noise in my opinion, smaller, but faster fans tend to be more audible than larger, slower moving fans.

Your other suggestions are exactly on point. AMD is the only option in my opinion on the CPU front, bit of a role reversal!

Let's go with today's news:

EA Q1 FY20 report: FIFA Ultimate Team surpases three million daily logged players, The Sims 4 increases by 55% YoY
Electronic Arts has announced preliminary financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2019. According to the publisher, Apex Legends, EA Sports’s games and The Sims were able to provide a strong start to FY20.
During the quarter, FIFA Ultimate Team had more than three million players logging in daily during the Team of the Season in-game event. Furthermore, The Sims 4 expansion packs and game pack downloads increased 55% year-over-year.
Last but not least, at quarter end, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes had nearly 80 million players life-to-date.

Crusader Kings 2 and all the expansions are really cheap in the new Humble Bundle
Have you ever thought to yourself, "I've heard good things about this Crusader Kings 2 strategy game from Paradox Interactive—87/100 on PC Gamer! —but there are so many expansions to buy and that really adds up. How can I indulge my curiosity without breaking the bank?" If so, the Humble Crusader Kings 2 Bundle is just what you need to scratch that oddly particular itch.
For $1, you get Crusader Kings 2, and The Old Gods, The Republic, Sunset Invasion, Legacy of Rome, and Sword of Islam expansions. That's a lot of crusading with kings for a buck. For more than the average amount of bucks, you'll also get Horse Lords, Way of Life, Charlemagne, Rajas of India, and Sons of Abraham. And finally, at the top tier of $15 (which is so close to the average price that you might as well go all-in) the Holy Fury, The Reaper's Due, Jade Dragon, Monks and Mystics, and Conclave expansions are also yours.

Kingdom Come Deliverance receives an Easy Mode thanks to this mod, available for download
Modder ‘Jindra1403’ has released an unofficial Easy Mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. According to the modder, this Easy Mode is balanced to give the player overall easier gameplay without either being too easy (like playing with cheats) or shutting some of the game features completely off.
While the vast majority of the changes in this mod can be benefited from just by playing on your playline with the mod, a few changes will only take place when you start a new playline with the mod already installed (such as changes to events that happen at a specific point in the story, e.g at the beginning of the game).

Senran Kagura Peach Ball will bring an unusual style of pinball to Steam next month

Steam has two new daily deals, and has added another game to its Midweek Madness deals (because I swear that I didn't see it yesterday):

At Fanatical there are two new deals:

Valve updates Steam's new Interactive Recommender, teases a new 'experiment' coming
A few weeks ago, Valve rolled out a new feature on Steam called the "Interactive Recommender," that uses machine learning to dig up games that you might like to play. Today it updated the status of that experiment, and so far it's going very well.
"One way we study what’s interesting to users is to look at how frequently a visit to a store page turns into a positive action like adding the item to a wishlist, or purchasing it. That frequency varies depending on how users arrived at the store page. We also look at how frequently people choose to visit a store page via the recommender," Valve wrote. "Our initial data show the Interactive Recommender is performing very well by those measures."

NieR can run, for the first time ever, with 60fps on the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3
The team behind RPCS3, the best Playstation 3 emulator that is currently under development, has released a video, showing the first NieR game running with 60fps. NieR was a 30fps game on Playstation 3 and RPCS3 is able to overcome this framerate limitation, proving once again why emulators are so important.
NieR is not the only 30fps locked PS3 game that can run with 60fps on RPCS3. Demon’s Souls, Persona 5, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd are also games that can now run with 60fps on this Playstation 3 emulator.

Star Wars KOTOR 2 gets a 2.7GB AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack, improving over 600 world textures
Modder “facemeltingsolo” has released a brand new AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for Star Wars KOTOR 2. This pack uses AI techniques in order to upscale the original textures by four times, and improves over 600 world textures (it also reworks some textures with existing game asset).
As said, this pack mainly focuses on the game’s world textures. Last month, we also shared an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack that improved all of the game’s NPCs so we strongly suggest using both of these packs in order to improve the game’s visuals.
It’s also worth noting that this pack also features a Transparency Fix. According to the modder, this will work out of the box with AMD but might need some tweaking with Nvidia’s GPUs. If Nvidia has issues open the opengl32.ini with notepad and try changing the ForceAlphaToCoverage to 0 and or clamp to 0. All you need to do in order to install this fix is copy the two files into the KOTOR 2 executable root directory. To uninstall the fix, just delete both opengl files.
>> Available from Nexus Mods.

Yes, here come the second part of the Thursday news:

Football Drama is a story-driven Football Manager
Finally there's a football game that appeals to me, a sedentary man who likes a bit of soapy drama. Open Lab Games' Football Drama is a narrative strategy game where off-pitch intrigue plays as big a role as getting people to shoot balls into nets. And because it's 2019, it's also a tactical card game.

Riot confirms Teamfight Tactics is here to stay, adding 4 new champions
Good news, everyone: Riot Games has confirmed that Teamfight Tactics is going to be a permanent League of Legends game mode, which isn't that surprising considering its enormous success. In a press release, Riot Games said it would continue supporting Teamfight Tactics with patches, new champions, synergies, and ranked seasons—and already a whopping four new champions are going to be added to the game next month.

Teamfight Tactics is in chaos after today's patch unintentionally made some units super strong
Teamfight Tactics' 9.15 patch went live today, bringing some major changes to its strategic meta along with some hilarious, unintended buffs that have turned some already-powerful champions into ungodly harbingers of complete obliteration. Though a hotfix is already on the way, it's chaos right now in TFT—and I for one am having a great time exploiting it while I can.

Downwell and Space Hulk: Tactics are coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC
Game Boy-style platformer Downwell and board game adaptation Space Hulk: Tactics will be added to the Xbox Game Pass for PC next month.
Downwell will be added first, on August 1, with Space Hulk: Tactics coming on August 8. Confusingly, the announcement also lists Slay the Spire as a future Xbox Game Pass for PC game, but it's already there—what's new is that it's being added to the console Game Pass.

Jalopy developer is making a game where you 'build stuff while getting drunk'
In 2016 we were impressed with the level of simulation Jalopy gave to maintaining and driving an old beater car across Germany, even in its early access stage. After its full release, we found it to be a haunting and nostalgic tour through the former Eastern Bloc. Sole developer Greg Pryjmachuk of MinskWorks has announced the next nostalgia trip he has planned—this time in the English midlands of the '80s.

A Short Hike is a relaxing game about enjoying a wee trek
After starting out as a Humble Monthly exclusive in April, A Short Hike arrives on Steam and Itch with a free update packed in. This cute little trek starts out with a bird named Claire and her Aunt May getting away from the city to visit Hawk Peak Provincial Park. Apparently unable to give up modern comforts entirely, Claire sets off for Hawk Peak where she can get a cellphone signal.

CS:GO map Workout removed from official matchmaking, two new maps added
The latest update for CS:GO is a significant one. Two maps have been added to the Defusal Group Sigma competitive pool, one of which is the popular Seaside map and the other a new one called Breach. Breach is, according to the CS:GO blog, "a defusal map set in a spacious corporate building". If you want to try the new maps they're in Deathmatch and Casual, and are also available as Scrimmage maps under the Competitive tab.

Fortnite Season 10 introduces co-op mechs
Fortnite Season 10 is about to begin, bringing timey-wimey nonsense and a changing map to the battle royale. You'll also be able to enjoy the ultimate bonding experience with a pal: blowing stuff up in a co-op mech.

Street Fighter 5 is finally getting E. Honda
Someone at Capcom apparently got a bit too excited about the arrival of Street Fighter legend E. Honda that they released the trailer on Steam early. With the sumo wrestler out of the bag, there's no way he's getting back in, so Capcom has confirmed he's coming to Street Fighter 5 in August 4, along with Lucia and Poison.
>> Wait, they launched a Street Fighter game without Honda? O.o Heresy!

Hell is murderous geometry in free roguelite action game Hells Divide
Hell is other people, some other person once said. Only they were totally wrong, as it's actually full of angry spheres and cubes. I know this from experience: my experience playing Hells Divide, a great-feeling, if flawed first-person stabber.

Pretty puzzler The Sojourn gets a release date and a new trailer
The Sojourn is a first-person puzzle game where you can wander around a striking, serene world while pondering the nature of reality, as one normally does when sauntering. Though it's a bit debilitated and lonely, it's a fetching place, and what better a setting than mystical ruins to begin unravelling existential conundrums?

Respawn's mystery VR shooter will be revealed next month
Respawn announced that it was working with Oculus to create a VR game back in 2017, and we'll finally be able to see what they've been working on for the last couple of years at Oculus Connect 6 in September.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is getting a free horde mode
Total War: Three Kingdom's heroes are super-charged warriors capable of dispatching whole units without breaking a sweat. They're pretty awesome. Next week, they'll properly get to show off their skills in the free Dynasty mode. It's a horde mode where three heroes somehow have to survive a battle against an infinite army.

Please excuse my bad English.
