Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Devs express disappointment with Xbox One over Twitter

the title is not misleading, Indie devs are devs too.

Microsoft always treated indies like crap...not surprised that they will continue to do so...Oh well good thing everyone else(nintendo, sony) is up to date.

WOW Nintendo and few indie devs are making bad comments about the Xbox One...
Yep, Microsoft is doomed :)

Also, you should change your title for "Indie Devs"...

Microsoft owes Indie devs big time for filling in their gaming droughts with low budget games with XBLA. They provided Microsoft with something special because even if Microsoft funds some of the games they don't make many of them.

Someone actually made a game called Ridiculous Fishing?

Yep, and it's great. My most favorite indie game in a long time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s0EA_jcfJs

Thread title got my attention but it seems to be a small handful of indie devs. Gonna file this under "not an issue".

A handful is all you need on a twitter or social media feed. It presents a problem when veterans complain in any capacity. Thats their lively hood. You're also belittling the capacity for a handful of people to act as leaders on behalf of the many.

It's indie devs. Plenty of them complained about the 360 and yet the indie section of XBLA is still chock full of good little games.

If a handful of big name developers who make actual AAA games start complaining then I will take notice.

The reason for the stock pile of games is because when Microsoft started out they actually treated indy devs with a shred of respect. If a dev says a publisher needs a publisher that presents a huge problem for the next XBLA especially seeing as your digital files from your old XBLA will not carry over to the new one. Its dishonest and almost seemed like they lured them in. Microsoft does that a lot and its not cute, when they lure  people and then change their whole attitude towards them when they move onto another idea instead of being steadfast with all ideas.

So true, thats rather disrespectful to discount them just because they express disappointment in Microsoft. Very militant behavior as if one is in a certain position of power they deserve to speak. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter who they express disappointment or joy for, they are making games that we will all eventually seen and respond to if we consider ourselves core gamers who play a variety of games, so respect is due.

lol.. you realize the policy some indie guys are bitching about is the exact same policy they have on the 360, right? So where exactly is this luring and duping?

Some indie guys are pissed that MS is not following suit with Sony/Nintendo and are sticking with the same policy as this gen. This gen which brought many great indie type XBLA games to 360 and some nifty little games to the XBLA indie games section.

Again, "not an issue". You guys have fun though.
