Steam + iOS/Android + Maybe WiiU

Steam and IOS arent consoles.

Are gaming systems. Having a reductionist approach is what is destroying this industry.

Multiconsole owners is the name of the topic. PC's are open formats which arent dedicated to gaming and neither are ios devices. Consoles are dedicated gaming machines.

Semantics. Should we consider PS4/XBox1/WiiU as Consoles, or are they really multimedia/gaming centers? Living room all in one devices?

Wii U and Gamecube

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Gaming devices, but Microsoft is a rather questionable one since they tend to swerve to the PC end of things. PC's aren't created for gaming unless people buy them specially made or build them and even then its still not their primary process via os. They still fulfill more purposes than an console could. Entertainment and games doesnt make a console a PC.

We have different views then. 8th generation systems are much more than consoles, the same than smartphones are much more than phones. I'm sure that there are lots of users that will buy them for much more things than gaming, and for a big chunk of people, gaming is not going to be the first thing they will do with them.

Probably WiiU+Ps4
