I don't know, Kingsglaive helping FFXV? Of course, it is possible, but the game has gotten demos, lots of promotions from SE at events, and a mini-anime, and they haven't done much. If those didn't do much, I wouldn't expect the movie to do much for it, in any case, it will be the game pushing the movie, not viceversa. Aside that this is a prequel of sorts no? In any case, it may lead some to cancel their preorder if they do not like where the story is going.

While when it comes to Pokemon GO, any effect would come later on. Since while it has give Pokemon some huge boom of popularity similar to what I hear of the old days, and lots of people are just playing it because it is the "cool thing" at the moment, I've seen some people that once talked badly about Pokemon and how kiddy it was, now saying all "Omg Pokemon GO! So cool!". So while thigns calm down, nothing can be said, because since the beginning Pokemon Sun & Moon have been highly calling hte attention of older fans that had left the series long ago, so any boost in it when it appears compared to X & Y and ORAS, may be caused by that, and not GO.

I don't follow your logic, doing worse than 13 in japan doesn't mean the game is flopping. If anything they seem to be already aiming for the west. And also, ps4 games seem to have better ratio on comg without mentioning digital, so..
