I think an MMO would be a great direction for Fable, as the lighthearted nature of the franchise would fit quite well with the social nature of MMOs. I also think it would be good in keeping the series fresh; as much as I have enjoyed the single-player, core Fable games, I think another game just like that would run the risk of feeling stale.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fable 2, never played Fable 3, but I'd definitely play a Fable MMO if it's good.

Fable II is pretty good and Fable III is ok.  Neither one is amazing in my opinion but still good games.  they are pretty simple.  In my opinion they are RPG's that are geared for both casual and hardcore players to like.  Fable III went a little more casual which is what I think the big down fall was. II had a good balance between the two elements where III didnt

Good to know, just picked up the Fable II Collectors Edition for $13...
