oh you know shareholder dividends, Xbox and kinect Marketing budget, buying skype for 8.5 billion, deals with media companies for xbox apps, and many other non core gaming related projects.   

For the gaming division alone, I mean. Where did all that "success" go? To the development of Kinect games? LMAO

Well I'd say you're off by billions but that could go either direction.

Also companies really don't look at net profit, just current earnings. Otherwise an exec would look at xbox and see billions down the drain and want to shut it down, even though today it's quickly making back their money.

btw, I never said that these numbers are 101% accurate. Many of you said that it is not possible to do this and I agree.

hmm, I think the 360 has made up for all its loses and has overall become profitable, but I don't think MS has made $2 billion profit from the 360 just yet. Maybe in a few years they might.

This is actually a pretty good point. Instead of complaining and saying that MS has lost more than they've earned (or whatever), just make your own estimations and share them with us!

Wow pretty good turnaround considering all the bad products they throw into the E&D division so their losses are eaten up by 360 gains. I thought they were not close to making back the 360 money they lost early on, I guess they have not only done that but have eaten well into the original Xbox losses.
