True, android can be buggy, but Windows is pretty solid. I've 2 friends who use it and to be honest, I'm sold on it. It never crashes, and although lacks 3rd party apps, it has a vast amount of 1st party apps which they simply forgot to mention and tell everyone about *facepalm*

It is new so I just want to see how much improviment it will have in the next years... the app store (I don't know the name in WP) for example need more addopts.

I think my next phone after that can be a WP.

I don't see why you'd consider a Vita over a new phone. Seems like if you need a phone, then you need a phone. "I need a Vita" - said no one ever.

It really depends on what features you think 5S will have. I know one big thing is improved battery life. The 5, like many of 2012 Androids, suffers from worse batter life due to the inclusion of LTE radios. However, the late 2013 Androids and all going forward have greatly improved batteries due to LTE radios being improved and many times included all in one chip with other radios and so forth. So that is a big plus to likely wait for 5S.

Other than that, IDK what they will do beyond the typical slightly better CPU/GPU/Screen/Camera is some manner. Software enhancements will come to the 5 anyways and they just changed the overall size and connection. So neither of those will change in this next version.

So the only choice is give up what should be improved battery life for the satisfaction of not having to wait a couple months.

No android is inferior. I would by the 5 now and pick up the vista after a price drop.

That is a good point... I hate my actual baterry life of my phone.

Honestly I say wait on both. Vita will likely receive a price cut before the year is out, and I haven't heard many good things about the iPhone 5. Hopefully the 5S will fix a lot of its commonly cited issues.

Buy a vita and wait for the expira z to come out.

So what is it for? The OS is now second rate along with the hardware and features. Window phones are snappy as hell, Sony have a great camera, and Samsung..well, they're just Samsung - making the best screens and cramming PC's into phones.

The issue with the others are not the hardware... it is the OS... Windows Phone is a little imature yet (maybe my next phone) and Android is Android... I mean buggy like a hell I don't what a phone that restart every day.

My Galaxy Note 2 hasn't been restarted since I've owned it. 5 months ago.

With Android you get what you pay for. If a cheap, low spec phone is running Android, it's not the OS that's the problem but the cheap hardware.

I played around with the Xperia z the other day and it was flawless.

Seeing as you're a sony fan, and they've just announced controller compatiblity with the DualShock it seems crazy to me that you wouldn't consider the best phones on the market because of some weird loyalty to Apple.

Huh? Those two sentences make no sense. Do you mean "No, android is inferior"?

I haven't rebooted my phone in three weeks and it still works perfectly fine. It is also over two years old.

Incredibly ridiculous and wrong misconceptions are incredibly ridiculous and wrong.

My old android was buggy as hell, but my Samsung Galaxy S3 has been great since I got it nearly a year ago. Never restarts, never freezes, and it's never slow. It's a fine phone.

In any case, you already HAVE a smart phone. You don't have a Vita. What's the point in upgrading now when you know there will be a new, better model later this year for the same price anyway? The Vita at least isn't going anywhere, and it'll offer a new experience, plus there's a good number of fun games out for it now. Go get one.
