Kinda surprising how Vita is at the front of everybody's thoughts. 3DS has its first sub-60k week of the year; PSP has its second sub-10k week of the year. But all eyes are still on Vita. Including eyes which have been absent from these threads throughout the whole of the price cut month :P

But anyway, yes, it is quite an appalling drop for Vita. Large drops across the board on hardware, and it's only going to get worse for the next few weeks, there's nothing of note releasing until Tomodachi for 3DS (I think?)

Still, there's plenty of good in these numbers too. Surprise of the week for me is Game & Wario holding on so well (seriously, that's an impressive second week given the FW sales). Aside from the usual suspects, Dragon Ball & Kingdom Hearts are also having some very decent legs and Muramasa; One Piece & Soul Sacrifice all seem to be holding on decently for Vita, which is pleasing.

Disappointment of the week would have to be NGS3+ (no-one wants this game, Tecmo Koei. Make something else). Dragon Quest X for Wii-U also has a pretty poor second week, considering it should really be two-days-worth-of-sales better than Muramasa + Game & Wario but manages to beat neither. Oh well.

That's why I said some didn't I but the fact remains that it was supply constrained and with Famitsu saying it was  supply constained then it might have affected the sales by a few thousands.

Apparently quite a few shops sold out their Vitas. The only model left for them is the 3G Black Vita.

I'm sure there are more than enough used Vitas waiting for a new home.

I don't think this is very surprising. In a price cut month Vita sold like 200K+ in Japan. For example, 3DS sold 200,000 in first week w/price cut and then never dropped to sub 50K level WITHOUT ANY MAJOR GAME in months (til Super Mario 3D Land in november). And Vita with steady stream of releases managed only to its already well-known results and sub 20K sales this week... Not catastrophic after 2012, but absolutely nothing "wow".

OT: Luigi is da boss. SW on 3DS beasting, and the heavy hitters haven't arrived yet. HW is falling tho, those bundles from SMT and TC will be great to maintain a good level.

PSV drop is rather high, shortages were reported, and if they can't solve that next week we may see meltdowns. Still, a very very bad thing, taking into account that the price cut momentum is affected.

WiiU, actually not as bad as expected, not good. You can tell it was a really slow week, when you see those two WiiU titles still chargin :D
