this game is DoA nothing more or less

no support is bad but this kind of support is horrible thing, if true then they try to convert WiiU to late and cheap port machine, i hope no sane Nintendo fan can allow this.

I never understood this train of thought, how is this horrible support? because its an older game? Better than nothing at all. It seems that their is a certain set of Ninty fans complaining about this. I dont think i ever heard any one from the other camps actually complain about a game coming to their system.

Either you are a multiplat owner and already played the game, so this woulldnt bother you. or you are a Ninty only gamer and this would be a new game to you anyway

if they truly wish to build healthy relationship they need to treat gamers of certain platform as a peers, they just released new game on ps360 on the other hand wiiu owners are "honored" with port of 18 months old game, this create extremely bad feelings, of course if they wish to support some platform then support them as everything else and then release some old games but this is nothing but seeds for future excuses why not support them.

this feeling is non existent on gamers of other platforms because no one treat gamers of other platforms this way

So neither the PS3 or 360 got a late port? Bioshock, Mass Effect, Deadly Premontion, Joe Danger, Braid, etc. say otherwise, and i dont recall anyone on the receiving end of those complaining, the opposite in fact or at worst indifference. Putting a good game on the system creates bad feelings now? They could have just not given the system anything. If their is a game coming out for a system you have its good and youve never played it, but choose NOT to play it because it came out on other systems beforehand, they that is YOUR loss, not Nintys or even SE. Which is ironic becasue that attitude will ensure that 3rd parties will be reluctant.

most games on your list with exception of Bioshock were in some form tied to one platform in exclusive deal of some kind and even Bioshock was announced for PS3 half year after release on XBOX360 so its not certainly comparable situation,  the problem is they just released new game TR on 2 platform, why they spend resource and time to release 18 month old port on new platform (with no history for this franchise on Nitendo platforms)and not this new game? the answer is simple the game is destined to fail and this became excuse why not support platform in future.

In similar manner in alternate history PS3 get GTA IV in 2008 and few weeks after XBOX360 get announced port of Man Hunt 2 director's cut.

whatever deals they had is not relevant, im only talking about the reactions to said games being ported, they dont incite the reactions that seem to incite some Ninty fans. I never hear either of those camps spouting conspiracy theories. You can use that tired "putting games on systems to fail argument" all you want. Fact is their is no evidence to support that, unless you actually heard someone from SE say that, otherwise its just another conspiracy theory.

Dont know why you keep bringing TR into this, their not even developed by the same damn team. I bet they were doing nothing right now, and SE said hey, knock this out for Wii U real quick. While the actual TR team was busting their butts just to get the game out on time, not wanting to have to stop to try to get a Wii U version done, at least not yet.

certainly you can't because the support for either Sony or MS platform is almost flawless, not so much in Nintendo case, its not conspiracy it's just observation, they're free to publicly declare what kind of support for WiiU they planing, so they started with port of year and half old game, i find this somewhat problematic or simply unfortunate, and ask what they try to achieve with this port.

TR is good example because is well know franchise with some history on Nintendo platforms at last on Wii with relative good sales (TRA 850k), so if someone wish to build on some foundation TR is good choice on the other hand Deus Ex is not it was never on any Nintendo platform and you perhaps known most early adopters are fans.

DX port was outsourced to external company, they probably can port anything

in case of exclusive deals no sane person can ask for porting exclusive content to 3rd party platform

Fair enough. Im just lookiing at it from a gamer perspective. If I was a Ninty only gamer, I would be happy to be getting anything i can get from 3t rd parties especailly when it is a game of Deus Ex caliber. It sucks but thats the way it has been for a LONG time, longer than some care to admit.

Is Deus Ex not being ported by the original dev team? Is that confirmed? Cause if it is, that does change things a bit. Just cause you dont see TR now, doesnt mean you wont see it on Wii U eventually, Deus Ex should prove that much.

As a Ninty-only gamer, I'll be glad to pick this up and play it for the first time. I'm happy to get something, but the fact that SE is sending ports of two-year-old games my way rather than the just released Tomb Raider makes me nervous and uncertain about the future. I'd like for the game to be about $40 USD, but considering the fact that I've never played it, I don't mind looking at it like a brand new game and paying $50 since it's coming with graphical enhancements, gameplay fixes and integrated DLC.

By the way, the same team that ported Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U (Straight Right) is porting this game.

Thats an understandable attitude. I could see your point, and yes the price is a bit high and this is coming from a guy who bought ME2 day1 for PS3, but as a lover of Deus Ex, it is worth it,(even though i didnt pay that much for it myself). At least the team that is porting has experience and from what i heard they did a decent job with ME3...too bad ME3 is kinda pointless on Wii U

Yawn. Already have this on PS3. Waste of time IMO. WiiU needs NEW and fresh not late to the party. Third party just doesn't excite me on Nintendo systems.
