It amazes me that Nintendo sold 100million wii's, yet lost this generation so badly. That has to be a first for the industry.

Lost perhaps in your eyes but I didn't see them losing anything besides 3rd party companies.

...and millions of gamers!

I fail to see your point considering they went from ~22m GCN to ~100m Wii.

mmm...wha? They went from 22m GC sold to 100m Wii sold. They actually gained milions of gamers.

I'd rather get a used OG Wii. The one that is BC. Though the lack of Wi-Fi is the real dealbreaker for me, since probably 75% of the time I've spent playing my Wii was playing Mario Kart online. Bots aren't as fun as real opponents :) At the moment there aren't that many GCN games worth playing today that didn't get a Wii version or will get a Wii U version soon. MGS, Rogue Squadron 2 and 3, Eternal Darkness and Mario Sunshine are probably the only interesting games left.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I could get one for $50 if it had internet as well as some form of HDMI. Since it has neither I'll pass.

It's just that simple.

Yep, they should have kept WiFi at the very least. This model would have probably done a little better since its price would be on par with some Roku boxes (streaming Netflix, Hulu+, and Amazon) and able to play Wii games.

For those wondering, Wii Mini sold 35.000 consoles in Canada since launch (December 7) until January 31st.

Don't forget about those damn potheads...

I dig the way this thing looks. Just couldn't buy one due to what they stripped off of it.
