FF13-2 was a much better game than FF13.

Jak II was pretty damn awful.

Black ops1 and then black ops 2. both are 2 piles of shit

Fuck no, Need for Speed Underground 2 is the best racing game... Ever.

The perfect answer to this thread would be Dragon Age: Origins to Dragon Age 2. Literally everything that was fantastic in the original was raped, burned, raped again and pissed on for DA2.

ooppppsss!!! i ment the games that came after the need for speed underground games!! underground 2 was AWESOME! i should edit my post

Spyro: Year of the Dragon -> Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped -> Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Wip3out -> WipEout Fusion
Battle Arena Toshinden 3 -> Toshinden 4
Final Fantasy IX -> Final Fantasy X
SSX 3 -> SSX On Tour
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun -> Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars
Super Smash Bros. Melee -> Super Smash Bros Brawl (COME AT ME, BROS!)

I've felt let down by a lot of sequels over the years, especially when the games that came before them are among my favourites of all time.

Final Fantasy XIII > Final Fantasy XIII-2

:o

I'm only about 10 hours into FF XIII-2, and I've genuinely already had more fun with it than I had in 40 hours of FF XIII.  It's the definition of a "massive improvement" sequel to me!

I loved the first 10 hours of FFXIII-2, but it went downhill from there. It's still a great game overall, but I prefer FFXIII, despite how simple and linear it is.

Everything I liked about FFXIII was a lot worse in XIII-2 like the story, the battle system, the cutscenes, the graphics, the world and game structure.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 imo

I didn't really like the original much and then 2 became one of my favourite games of all-time.
