Forums - Sales Discussion - Global 2nd Feb up

Well, I think it's kind of a forgone conclusion at this point who's going to win the 3DS 30m vs. Vita 5m competition now. Taken a good bit longer than most have assumed though, I think. All the same, the 3DS is still rocking though and no reason it won't be able to keep it up. If it keeps up around the current numbers (160,000 and 27,000 respectively), then around 10 weeks for the 3DS to 30m and 34 weeks for the Vita to 5m.

Glad to see WiiU slightly better (if I remember the numbers of last week correctly), let's hope it won't drop again.

its up 10% this week in usa. no software releases though. word of mouth maybe? advertising push?

It'll be interesting to see if Rayman Legends and Lego City Undercover will be able to push sales^^

Legends... not much.  Lego though, I think is going to be bigger than people expect.  Hopefully, Ninteno will have Wonderful 101 out a few weeks after that, Wii Fit U a few weeks after that, Game and Wario a few weeks after that, and Pikmin 3 a few weeks after that.  If all those games come out in succession, the Wii U will do alright till E3 where they'll hopefully show off some true system sellers.

Seems like Legends won't push any WiiU sales for a looong time now -_-

I'm really not sure if will do Ubisoft the favor to buy it anymore...

Yeah.  I'm a bit less likely to buy it now.  In February when there's nothing else to buy, that's a great time to check out a game like Rayman Legends.  In September, I might have other purchases.  I may wind up buying Lego City because of this.  I need something for my Wii U.

September release on the WiiU is madness, it will very like have to compete against Wind Waker HD. Which I'm pretty sure most people would choose over Rayman Legends, even though it is just a remake.

I think Wii U is undertracked in Eruope. There is no way a brand new console only sold less than 10K across the entire Europe.

Apparently Rayman legends has been delayed to September and is now Multiplatform...

really? do you have a source for that? not that i dont trust you or anything but i would just like to read the article :)

Ni No Kuni has the best FW sales for a new console JRPG IP this gen. It's great news after the disappointing Japan launch.

Huh, suddenly WiiU and PS3 increase? I can see the Ni no Kuni release keeping PS3 steady but practically nothing came out this week for WiiU. Sudden jump in Europe makes no sense

maybe after the nintendo and sony quarter releases vgchartz realized there tracking was a bit off?

I want to know Ni No Kuni sales for EU.

I know it was #1 in UK.

it sold 25K in the UK. so im hoping for good numbers around EU, hopefully more than 80K

That's awesome. I am sure these don't even include Wizard's Edition sales either.

i dont know, its what vgchartz show. usually limted editions are included with these numbers for what i know
