Forums - General Discussion - How Stereoscopic 3D 60 fps entertainment (since the 1930's) has finally been taking over the industry?

Which do you prefer in entertainment?

Monochromatic 2D 30 fps 0 0%

Stereoscopic 3D 60 fps pe... 6 100.00%

Total:6

The problem in the past is that stereoscopic 3D films have needed a special display in theaters and how Monochromatic 3D (which can be displayed on anything) requires a minimum of a 100 inch screen to look full 3D to everyone because it needs the 2 same images to be at least 2 1/2 inches apart.

And also the lack of content as well as expensive price for 3D TVs (120 refresh rate) since the 1930's.

But now every movie theater in America has the needed special display for Stereoscopic 3D movies and Smart 3D HD TVs (1080p) cost $300 & up and 3D is clearly having what it needs to take off.

From glasses-free 3D 4K HD TVs that 9 people can move around and still see in 3D to glasses-free 3D 1080p Laptops that 1 person can move his/her head and still see 3D to the Nintendo 3DS (don't twist to the side if you want to still see 3D), anyways it seems it's just a matter of time til 3D kills 2D, just like how IMAX will eventually kill such crap as 4K HD.

so when it comes to monochromatic 2D 30 fps VS. stereoscopic 3D 60 fps per image, how do you think this will end up.

(keep in mind that the only 2D content that's 60 fps is GameCube which was suppose to do 3D but got 3D disable and PS3 & 360 which ripped-off GameCube & Wii which is the successor and Wii U which does 3D on pre-install chips & firmware like GameCube. And of course high power PCs for like 1,000 fps, LOL)

Well here's a list of recent 3D movies, but a lot of the ones that say film in 2D are actually filmed 3D for most of them, and also the list of 2013 & beyond is way under-completed:
