Judging from the sales progress of similar 3D Mario games, most importantly Mario Galaxy as this sells almost exactly the same, I think it's fair to predict a steep decline in sales this year for the game. Coupled with more game releases and the age of the game, it will flatten out.

I expect no higher than 10m. My prediction is 9.6m.

This number makes the game follow Mario Galaxy, but still has it decline slightly slower, which I think it will.

Well its been on the market for what 13 months? 8.01m in 13 or 14 months. Going over most trends a game usually only sells around 90% of it's lifetime in it's first year but nintendo games wrok differently than most games seeing as not many games have legs like nintendo games. That and because Mario 3d Land and Mario Kart 7 to date are still the two biggest titles for the 3DS. I'd say it could sell 2 million this year, and the reason I say that is because we are going to see a 3DS surge or spike this year due to Monster Hunters and Pokemon. Mario Kart and Mario 3D land will be some of the first games people picks up.

I don't know. It's difficult, that's all the way up at 12m. Which is still a long way away. Given 3D Mario's traditional sales curves, I'd say it's not going to make it. It depends on how far 3D Land's sales are going to steer away from Galaxy's though. This year will be telling in that regard.

However, I'm not saying it's impossible. And it's not like I don't want things to do good, the more sales the better. I know by now that I'm a lot less optimistic than you are when it comes to sales usually !
