the overall rumor mill IS saying the next box will be more powerful but both will be very close to each other. but this is just some amazingly deluded stuff

Didnt they say the same thing about Blu-ray when the PS3 was released? I remember a lot of people saying, "No one needs blu ray or HD. THey were happy with dvd and standard tv." but It helped pushed HD gaming and HD viewing to the next level. NOw that 4K is at our doorstep...I think it will follow the same trend.

Seriously though, as fun as this is, I don't buy EITHER rumor when the numbers and projections of which console is more powerful are so different. Sure is fun to speculate, though... :p

PS2 was the least powerful by a wide margin and PSone was the least powerful, yet they are my favorite consoles of their generation. I really don't care and multiplatform games will look almost identical just like PS360 this gen despite PS3 being more powerful.
