SMG2 >>> SMG1

Mario Galaxy 2 has the better gameplay and is more challenging.

But Mario Galaxy has a better ambiance (music, black sky, hub) and has the "wow" factor that MG2 did not possess. So I pick Mario Galaxy 1.

I preferred 2--more refined, more focused, and it did away with that terrible hub from SMG1.

(Which isn't to say SMG1 isn't absolutely amazing, too.)

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best 7th gen console game in many people's eyes and possibly one of the greatest Mario games made so I'm going with Galaxy 2.

I really don't know why I like SMG better than SMG2. But I do. Maybe it's because I played it when I was younger and everything seemed much better then.

Then again, I haven't gotten close to beating SMG2. So it might pick up. (I've had this game for at least 2 years now...)

Well that... that was a little awkward.

I have more nostalgia for the first one...
But I like the new powers in the second one more...
Either way, I hate prankster commets with a passion...
