damn I hate time limits

I want to relax when I play games

I have to agree. I like to explore at my leasure.

Its also what makes me somewhat dislike Jet set radio when compared to Jet set radio future.

With that said, i have never played any pikmin games nor plan to get Pikmin 3. Not my type of game, but it looks nice.

I would seriously reconsider wanting to buy it if it had a 30-day limit like Pikmin 1. I've been thinking about giving Pikmin a chance, but i really don't like games with overarching time limits (that's also what scared me clean off of Majora's Mask, which i've never mustered the guts to play)

Where did you see "30 days" in the OP?

No, and i suppose i could be overthinking it.

I wouldn't mind if the missions are timed as such, but i would be bothered by an overarching limit.

That's a good point, anyway, whatever Miyamoto cooks up is gonna be great.

You should really try Pikmin 1 and 2. Is Pikmin 2 still not available on Wii (new play control) in America? Europe has 1 and 2 on New Play Control.

They are even better with the New Play Control.

Awesome, I loved the first Pikmin. Removing the time limit in Pikmin 2 made the game feel less focused to me. Pikmin 1 was not so difficult. I'm pretty sure I can get all of the pieces in about 20 days, and still have a good amount of time to just do whatever, make more Pikmin and stuff.

Exactly what I'm thinking. The only way Pikmin 2 was better was that it was a lot longer.

oh my god, back again to the 30 days limit

Who said anything about a "30 days limit"?

It could be 40, 100 or 10000 days.

The 30 day limit on Pikmin 1 did not make the game hard at all. I've finished it in as little as 18 days.

i also finished the game in day 18 or 17 as i remember, but i want to be able to relax and enjoy the environment without worrying that i have to finish the game before day 30

I prefer Pikmin 2 so I don't like this news all that much. I'm still going to get the game obviously.

Have a nice day...

pikmin2 was a lot easier. Not sure if I liked the overall game time limit though. Hopefully there is a good way to differentiate that... maybe make certain areas unusable or lost based on the course of the game.

I could care less which one it'll be more like. They are both great games no matter the time limit.
Just release Pikmin 3 already!

America has Pikmin 2 for Wii now (finally!), it's just under the "Selects" label.
