Anyway I agree that resorting to these shady tactics for promotion isn't anything to be proud of. But that's just what it is....a way to promote their music. No harm done. Do you buy a song just because the music video has 1 billion views on youtube? Didn't think so.

People will buy anything they percieve is successful and the next big thing. Why you you think some companies spend billions of dollars trying to make their products LOOK and SOUND good? Its big business and these companies know their are a lot of brainwashed idiots that follow trends and they can easily get what they want from them by creating that market.

The amount of musicians under the Sony label is massive... One Direction alone has about a billion views on their videos

One Direction is under VEVO which we explained earlier that youtube is biased towards. They didnt take down any VEVO videos which we all know probably has the most bots throughout youtube.

They do and people also buy subscribes on youtube. Its a common thing these days.
