They will definitely not want to pay Sony for their discs so they will use their own new disc format.

Didn't take long did it.

pay Sony for "their" discs. Lol

Last I checked on two companies actually made bluray discs, as in have bluray foundaries, and one of those companies is Sony.

Yes. There is no other option... even Wii U uses Blu-ray.

Er, are you being serious?  Sometimes sarcasm is lost on the internet...

Don't know, don't really care either way.

I think its pretty obvious they won't be using DVD. There is no reason to since Blu-Ray drives will be much faster than they were back in 2006 and there will even be 100gig discs available if needed..

I don't think they won't be using a proprietary format like Nintendo either so Blu-Ray is the safest guess.

the wii u doesn't use Blu rays the same way the Wii doesn't use DVD disks....  You'll find burning a wii game to a dvdr works just fine in a wii tho oddly enough.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Of course it needs it lmfao. We've already seen all the big games this gen seperate their multiplayer onto a different DVD.

I hope not...Can't stand blu ray films (unless it's animation). I don't see the attraction of removing a film's texture and making it look like a cheap daytime soap opera.
I'm guessing the hard drive will be huge enough to allow for the option of direct downloading more than just a few games/movies so physical discs will be less of an option for me.

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

I would hope so

The denial is strong with this one!

It would be a huge mistake to not use blu ray IMO
