Come on man, it's easy to see why. The WiiU isn't really next gen. Technically it's but it's inferior to the 360 and PS3. Why you ask, because those markets are already much bigger. And public perception is that it's competing with the PS3 and 360. This is VERY bad for Nintendo if you ask me. So people don't get it. Nintendo doesn't have any games that can't run on a PS3, or 360. You have exclusives for the sake of exclusives, but nothing that is cutting edge. When the PS4 and 720 launch, you know some of the launch titles won't be able to run on the WiiU.

I honestly think it's to late to the market for what market they are pushing it into. Far too little in graphical power leap over the last gen. When you look at it, why buy a WiiU now when the PS4 and 720, the "hardcore" HD next generation systems are coming out in less than a year? I say it's inferior because it's what Nintendo made it. They released it knowing it would be inferior to the next generation machines. But just like last gen, they are gambling with another fad controller. But, lightning won't strike twice IMO. Just like the Vita, but least the WiiU is still selling decently.. They just don't get their market. Smartphones killed the Vita. And with the WiiU, it's missing features that players find very important. And this is supposed to be "next gen". How can it be when it can't do what its competition is doing with last generation tech?

I officially don't get Nintendo at all. I think they've lost it.

PS: Playing with the stock controller is horrible. I can see people hating it honestly, pro controller is the only way. But then if you go that route, you hit all the other issues. The missing features, and terrible library. Not good at all for adults, have to admit that much..

Zippy-When complaints were made about the Vita, people said give it at least a year on the market before making judgement. It seems to me that people are judging WiiU after several weeks on the market..is that fair?

The console market isn't about graphics. It's not about what can or can't be run. Why does the most powerfull system never finish 1st in a console generation???   You're always going to have people who adopt early and realize it was mostly emotion and then returning it to buy games for older systems instead or whatever their reason is. There were so many reports of people returning 3ds's as well but that system has done nothing be gain momentum even after a much more powerfull competitor hit the market.

More powerfull competitors don't effect Nintendo very much for several years. High end is for a small number of people. Once those more powerfull systems are cheap and the graphics start to push the systems then the Nintendo audience starts to take notice. But we're talking 4 or 5 years after the xbox 360 release last gen.  This time around it will be at the end of the Nintendo cycle rather than 4 years in like Wii. Nintendo is one year ahead of more powerfull systems this gen rather than one year behind like last gen.

lmao!!

I'm not one of them, I love my Wii U! Been playing Black ops 2 and AC3! Just waiting for Monster hunter 3 Ultimate now :D

Wii U is outselling the Xbox 360 and ps3 launches, Mario laughs at people's failure in recognizing his skills.

I'm a Sony fan, my friend picked up a Wii U for Xmas and we played a few games on it yesterday, in my opinion it's just not next gen, the game pad is cool and I enjoyed zombie U but its not what I was expecting for a next gen system. I'm not saying its a bad system but it just needs more time like any other console for more games 2 come out and have the system pushed.

There are always mixed feelings about that. I remember a lot of people over the internet saying the 360 wasn't a next gen system, and a lot of them didn't recognize it as true next gen until the first Gears of War. It's just a transition process, it happens with every new console (specially if it is a "lone wolf" like the Wii U currently is)

Nintendo and PC gamer

I did a good solid year of research on the Wii U before it was released so I knew exactly what to expect from it when I bought it. I am very satisfied, as are my kids, with the system. I've already 5 starred Mario U, and my kids have found most of the stamps for Nintendo Land. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm almost done with ZombiU, and then I'm going to have to wait a little bit for other games that I really want to play. Other than that I wouldn't sell my Wii U for anything at the moment. I am a diehard Nintendo fan, but I'm still pretty excited about Sonys and Microsofts upcoming systems. We won't get both, but we will definitely be buying one of them. After I research them, of course.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

I'm just not that sure how relevant what gen it is in.  I mean..  Truthfully next gen should have started 2 years ago. I've been next gen on pc for a while. To me PS3, 360 and Wiiu are all last gen. Considering that nobody seems to care and that these systems are all doing well despite having terribly outdated graphics it's hard to imagine that the wiiu will need next gen graphics to do well. It's all about content these days. People will play games on anything if there is compelling content. My roomate swears by Sony but never actually plays his console and spends all his gaming time on his iphone. Not sure that graphics will be a huge selling point anymore except for a few million enthusiasts such as myself.. Content is king from now on.

People are idiots. You always know that Nintendo will deliver the good games within a year. There is enough great games out there already.
