This beast:

- 8 gig ram
- 8 core processor
- 2 TB HDD
- AMD Radeon HD 7670

It's no assault rifle, but it might be as powerful! My desktop was from 04 so I was long overdue for this. Jumped on a cyber monday deal on amazon, usually goes for $1000 and I snagged it for $745. Figured it was high time I got back into pc gaming. Plus I'm an animation major who also does a fair amount of video editing so I could use the power in more ways than one.

You can run Skyrim with probably any mods you want ! How are you liking it?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Pretty awesome so far.. Runs incredibly smoothly thus far, even after I tried to push it to the limits with multitasking. Was quite nice to crank up Borderlands on max settings and still have such a high frame rate when I've been used to playing it on med-low settings on my laptop. Also been playing some Far Cry 3, the graphics blew my mind on high settings. The first visuals I saw that truly looked like "next gen" graphics to me.

While there are certainly more powerful rigs out there like those $3000 Alienware machines for instance, for the price I spent on this it's pretty amazing.
