Forums - Sales Discussion - NPD Canada Numbers for all 2007 - Includes December

@leo-j, I couldn't write on the other post, but I'm pulling for you.
I don't want you banned. Posting X number of times in 2 minutes was hilarious.
I disagree with you more than not, but I like your spirit. Hope some of your predictions come true.
So, who really won the bet?

Great numbers for 360.

Soriku gets banned I WIN the bet !!!!!

On topic:

I knew it wii overtracked by 300k, and ps3 undertracked by nearly 100k. Another prediction correct for leo-j.

hate to tell you this but ioi has already adjusted NA Wii numbers... as long as Wii sells more than 30k or so the Wii will be over 20m tomorrow night...

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Not to say that I'm a Leo-J/Crazzyman/Sony fanboy sympathizer, but it really does seem like VGchartz usually posts lower numbers than NDP for Sony consoles, and more than NDP for Nintendo consoles.

I don't think theres a conspiracy here, I can see why ioi would underestimate Sony consoles due to their recent under performance. As well as overestimate Nintendo, due to their recent strong performance.

As in go buy us some coffee.

NPD also makes extrapolations, for all you know they are overtracking Sony and undertracking Nintendo and the correct number is in between VGC and NPD

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I remember though that for many weeks last year, PS was over-tracked.
So, it's no big deal

That's quite possible, but I'm just making an observation.

The only big issue is that the DS must be overtracked. Everything else is within 5%, but the DS is over 1 million greater than what's being reported here.

The price cuts in Canada did amazing for the PS3, 40gb PS3 and the 20gb 360 are the same price at $400, and the 360 elite is only $20 less then the $500 80gb PS3. The arcade is $280 or something. Does anyone remember last months numbers, i think the 360/PS3 were between 50-60k and the wii was 88k, decembers numbers must of been really good.

November 2007

NDS - 120,000
WII - 82,000
360 - 59,000
PS3 - 51,000
PSP - 33,000
PS2 - 30,000

Missing October and December, though (and March too).
