Killzone WILL be bundled at launch for probably $250 including PS+ and 8GB. Basic WiFI will be dropped to $179 in a barebones backage while 3G will be lowered to $250 and include a 4GB memory card. This should all happen around March.

Source for the KillZone bundle?

My brother who works in the pizza store in a target talked to a coworker who has a cousin that knows a guy in Japan that decides US bundles.

Only five degrees of separation.  This sounds legit.

I cant see Killzone being bundled , didnt the last bundle that had Killzone (I think it was for PSP or PS3) did poorly?

Tearaway is a potential choice.

I believe you, but I don't remember what bundle you're talking about.  Was it NA only?  PSP or PS3?

Regardless, there are only so many games coming we know about which they can bundle :P

Most of the Japanese stuff won't shift consoles.  Tearaway might, but probably not the same demographic that they targeted with Liberation.  So Killzone seems they most obvious choice if they want to go after the same people.  Which they shouldn't, but probably will anyway.

Plus, if it actually turns out good, they'll finally be able to deliver on the promise of "hey, dual analogue FPS works on handhelds!"  Might as well bundle that!

I just hope the Vita one isnt as bad as the PSP Killzone....that game was just horrible (and yes I played it).

Hmm.  The general vibe I was getting from that game was that GG actually did a good job of crafting a handheld-specific experience within the Killzone universe and it actually turned out kinda well.  But I haven't played it, so I cannot comment.

Regardless, Mercenary is an FPS and developed by Cambridge Studio.  It's gonna be closer to KZ2 than Liberation.

It shouldn't be bundled with a game, just bundle 1 month of playstation plus and a 8 or 16 gb memory card for the same prize as it is now, that would be much better value

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

GTA 5 spinoff that will stun everyone with its E3 announcement!

The only bundle that could help reanimate the Vita next year would be a Animal Crossing or Monster Hunter4 bundle ...

or a GTA spinoff bundle or a God of War Vita bundle

too much fous on the cards guys.
The whole strategy behind ps+ and mem cards is that they have to buy more cards yo fit the games on them.
You give them an 8 or 16 off the bat you won't be seeing another purchase for a while, and those memory cards or straight profit...they're better than selling a game.
Also 179 is way too cheap. remember, they arent just competing with the 3ds, they're competing with the xl. keep the price up a bit. give them value with ps+. get the consumer to buy memory cards. keep bundles at regular price...otherwise you're looking at 140$ bundles at christmas....and that's a nightmare for sony.

furthermore, a consumer doesnt see a larger card as value, so while they may be losing next to nothing giving bigger ones away, it wont improve consumer appreciation, it will only serve to undermine it, when people decide to sell their huge cards as a tertiary discount, which will then destabilize the market for them.

Cambridge is no more, they were reconstruted in to Guerrilla Games, earlier this year. They are using a modified  in-house killzone 3 engine, Havok (game physics). I hope they bring back the wait from Killzone 2 or at least make it optional for those that want it. From the GamesCom trailer, it looks amazing and I can't wait for it.

This should be the real testement to the FPS on the go with dual sticks.

Assuming Killzone comes out next year, it would be a great bundle. Otherwise, Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed are the big hitters, so those.
