Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Lack of data for Madden 13 Wii U and some odd sales numbers

OK, with the week ending the 22nd now up, it's time to check again.

Madden's data for the previous week was adjusted down for some reason, from 12,470 to 10,917 in the US. Meanwhile, it apparently saw 8711 copies sold in the week ending the 22nd. This is a slight decrease, but not consistent with the idea that the 10,917 represents total sales for the first four weeks.

This isn't just based on ordinary intuition. I've been using Fifa as a comparison game, because they're similar, but Madden should outperform Fifa in the US. Fifa's fifth week, it only clocked in at 4,146, or just over 16% of total sales to date. Madden apparently managed over 44% of total sales in the same week. This doesn't seem reasonable to me. If we suppose that Madden and Fifa would have somewhat similar sales patterns, then based on the 5th week, we should expect Madden to be at around 50,000. It's currently at just under 26,000.

Fifa's French data also is apparently awol for the first two weeks. Week 4 is 12% higher than week 3, which suggests that the remaining data is missing.

Ninja Gaiden 3 is still miraculously getting European data despite not having yet released, while still being absent entirely from Japan despite charting there according to the Japanese trackers. Assassin's Creed III is also still lacking Japanese data. NBA 2K13 still hasn't been fixed.

Darksiders II definitely is missing its first two weeks of data in Europe, as week 4 has registered with almost double the sales of week 3.

Rabbids Land is still absent from VGChartz, too.

I suppose the point I'm making now is that we can't yet trust all of VGChartz's numbers for the Wii U, as there are definitely kinks in the system that need to be worked out before the numbers will be trustworthy.
