I've seen a lot of this on Ponychan /collab/ and I contributed to a new set of rules for them that was basically anti-"being an ideas guy". I don't want to see people put effort into another game that doesn't work out.

This isn't to say i'm entirely in disagreement with you. I get what you're shooting for in the sense that you don't just go "I want to make a _____." and then decide what to make. The idea has to exist first, or what will emerge will be unorganic, to its detriment.

The ideal dialog is "i had an idea for a video game where a player does this," instead of "i want to make a game. How about one where the player does this?"

Thank you!!! I never said i was the best personally (even though i hope) but im confident and i rather speak my truth and let others judge me! Someone that just shows up and calls me bullshit just because he seen other people fail has no right to judge me! Simple as That!!!
