yeah, that thing is stupid, I don't know what they mean by "second best" but my PC is about 15X more powerful than a 360 in pure FLOPs alone on top of other enhancements and I can safely say that I'm definitely not even close to "second best" since the best I've seen is at least 45X more powerful than a 360 and that'd put second best hell of a lot higher than 8X rofl.

Every time I read those specs in your sig I become sick with envy.

This is pretty much inline with other stuff as far as general terms go.

You have neXtBox up to 8x that of PS360 and then PS4 somewhere slightly below that.

Eitherway, its showing more and more that there should be no reason WiiU is forgotten in 3rd party AAA development. There won't be a tech gap beyond "PS2 to Xbox" type of levels.

you mean other than that 8x discrepancy in power...

If it was as powerful as the second most powererful pc, how expensive would that be?

thousands, and it won't be, power requirements are too different unless they are trying to build a heater.

The video cards are not that good these days unless you crossfire them or I can't even run Guild Wars 2 max with FXAA at constant 60FPS, it was good maybe like a year or 2 ago, not gonna upgrade those until the really good new shit comes in 2014 or 2015, those will be nice new toys for sure! :)

So if this is what we're looking at:

WiiU
I wonder if devs will shun the Wii U and develop for the 2 higher consoles, shun the 720 because of high dev costs and make games for the PS4/WiiU, or if all 3 consoles will be getting the same third party support (roughly).

It'll be interesting to see.

...you mean that 8x discrepancy in power to the 360 right ? ;)

Wii U is more powerful than the 360... so in terms of power I would say (since I think that the NextBox will have a similiar architecture like the Wii U):

Durango >>> Wii U (and Sony is anywhere inbetween these two)

so that equals.. 3 times more powerful ;)

If Sony is late and significantly underpowered to Durango, why even try? WiiU $249 at 15 million, Durango $399 at 5 million.

Kotaku says in the article that PS4 is similar in power to X720.

It will be really interesting to see how each of the new systems will perform. In sales and power.

Well that's...disheartening. Guild Wars 2 is one of the first games I want to play once I get my new PC, but my system isn't going to be even half as beefy as yours. What's your monitor's res? With specs like those, I would've hoped that you'd be able to run GW2 in 1080p at max settings without a hitch.

Guild Wars 2 is maxed out on my PC at 1080P, but if I was running single card, it'd dip to like 30-40some FPS, which is not something I enjoy since I can tell the difference right away. It's a game that can be taxing for sure.
