Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony fans should buy the WiiU

I give this thread a 2/5

Around the Network

Im a sony fan and tested the Wii U and did not care for the bulky controller. You say help develop a tablet they have one already the Vita. You ask me the Vita should be the controller for PS4. The PS Vita is smaller and can do the job no problem if adapted right. Vita is suppose to work with ps3 like a controller anyway. So they technically have something in place now.

If your a ps3 fan you're better off waiting for the ps4. There's nothing about the wii U that will attract you. I have one and I think daily about selling it. I've used it a total of 6 hours and i bought it launch day. Trust me it isn't a system worth having right now.

Vita would then just be considered an addon and that's not going to well unless you bundle a Vita into every PS4, which isn't going to happen.

People already complain how the WiiU gamepad is expensive at $150 in Japan. You're asking people to buy a $250 controller for PS4?

By the time the PS4 comes out, Vita bare bones could be $150 (if the bundled content is sold for full retail price).

Sony copy Nintendo thread?

You're on every thread that has "Sony" in it. Everyone copies everyone.

Pretty sure Sony won't wait until 2015 to release PS4.

Funny thread!... I imagine sony r&d must be pulling their hairs out trying to come up with something that will be the ps4 hook.. as higher spec just wont do next gen.. still I wont be surprised if they came out with a .. wait for it.. tablet-dual-shock controller.. ! ..

...then it will all of a sudden it be the coolest thing sony fans has ever seen! .. and they will say l "real innovation"! haha

then it makes me wonder what this guy would do --> Jayson1 6 hours ago

That's simple, Sony won't make it bulky. I know what your implying with this (to which I agree) but lots of people really do find the Wii U controller uncomfortable.

As for the hook I can guarantee it won't be a tablet. Sure PS4 may do many multiscreen things but they can't repackage their own products without gamers noticing. Launching in just a few weeks, LBP2 Vita DLC creates the Wii U experience on PS3. Unless Sony delays this DLC for the PS4, it won't be the main hook. My money is on the decoupling move/dualshock controller or less likely an SR viewer.

.. I always hear something along the lines of this.. 'WiiU experience/doing wiiU gameplay' etc .. and makes me wonder why sony and its fans like to say it..
and Im sure I read a MS rep say this a few times too.. with its smartglass.. lol could it be thats because they following Nintendo on that direction for gameplay nextGen too or just incase it takes off for Nintendo lol .. coz as soon as the gamepad was revealed.. I started hearing "hey we can do that too! " from Sony and MS reps.. insecurity perhaps..
