Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hiroyuki Ito (Director FF6, FF9 and FF12) hints that he's working on FF15 in recent interview

I asked him as best I could using translation software. (I am planning to learn Japanese, however its not easy at the moment).

I'm not sure he will respond Galvaniser. But if he does I will let you know! Another good person to ask might be Yochi Wada himself... I imagine he is on Twitter.

Can you ask him if he would ever work with Square Enix again on a large-scale HD project? I really need an answer to this question.

This is what I asked him:

A203D: WIll you ever return to Square Enix?

YM: "I think, I have have no reason to come back to Square-Enix, Don't you think so?"

A203D: Square Enix own all your games, I'm worried you'll never make another big game again.

YM: "In any case I will not make a sequel or remake of past works, unless Square-Enix wants it, thx".

I don't particularly want to ask anything else. But this dosen't necessarily tell us what we want to know does it?

I don't think he would answer if I asked him if was working on FF15. But its not improbable that he is based on what we suspect about Hiroyuki Ito for the moment. I think we just have to wait to be honest. I hope he is working on it, but you never know.

Hiroyuki Ito is a genius and I've been itching for him to do XV. Plus, the rumours for XV so far make it sound bloody great! I have a very, very good felling about Final Fantasy XV and I can not wait until it is announced! And, yes, I'm one of the ones who loved XII.

What makes him a genius?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I think the funniest argument I ever had with anyone concerning the quality of FFXII's battle system was claiming that 13's was better...becuase you have the same amount of control in that game.

Serious, some dude tried to convince me that final Fantasy XIII's battle system was just as deep and nuanced as XII's, and I laughed. I couldn't take that person seriously.

FF XIII's battle system sure has depth. But nowhere near FFXII's.
