You should stay away from financial discussions if you cant interpret data in an objective way.

Its not difficult to push a $1.70 stock to $3.50 which nokia essentially did.  Its still down 90+% since its peak but nice cherry picking on the time frame for the stock though.

Tell that to THQ. You don't seem to understand how market cap and share value work, that's why you have said that.

Please tell what to THQ?  They had a reverse stock split to try to raise their share price, which a lot of companies who have stocks under a dollar do.  I dont know how that relates to market cap, share value or nokia moving from a low base or what you are trying to imply.  Please try not to troll my posts.

It is very difficult to increase your market cap in a 100%. It doesn't matter if your share value is 600 US$ or 0.60 US$, the market cap doubles in both situations. If it's so easy to double the market cap, why Sony only goes in a downward spiral? Maybe they should hire you to teach them how to do so.

I don't have to troll your posts, you do so by yourself.

Its not very difficult to rise your stock price quickly if the stock has been battered down to pretty much nothing and any glimpse of good news appears.  Thats whats going on with Nokia, with RIMM with netflix.  RIMM and Nokia are both up 100% from 3 months ago, why?  Most analyst and their competition left them for dead in the cell phone industry and so their stocks reacted accordingly.  Now, there is not even concrete evidence but random facebook posts and positive carrier news and both stocks are running on what amounts to hearsay.

Sony and pretty much all the battered japanese consumer electronics will be the same way.  If there is any glimpse of a turnaround in the yen or in their product line, the stocks will skyrocket.

Phone market is fair game now that the IPhone trend is dying. Android is destroying it.

Who's to say the Chinese won't pick up the slack from japan next?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
