Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS title Resident Evil: Revelations listed for console release

I'm playing this now and it's a lovely game. More people need to play it.

I wish it did better on the 3DS.

After RE 6, I'd say non 3DS owners need this game because it's actually a better RE.

Why would they put it on WiiU? The Nintendo core crowd will already own a 3DS and they clearly not interested in this game, putting it on WiiU would result in just as bad sales if not worse.

Oh yeah ya made a funny!

Resident evil 4 on gamecube sold more then the ps2 version so this isn't anything to do with the 'nintendo fanboys only buy nintendo games' generalization.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

RE4 on GC did not sell more than PS2.  Not that interests from last gen have any direct relation to current gen interests.

Hmm. I stand corrected. Ages ago I was aware the ps2 version sold half of the gamecube so at least there was a time when it outsold it. But it must sell something considering this is the only good resident evil on xbox and a playstation handheld still doesn't have one. They wouldn't keep putting it on there if it wasn't selling.

No idea, but considering it was stated that GC to Wii ports with no enhancements can be done with a small team over a weekend, I will assume it is super cheap and easy with publishing duties being the highest cost.  While no such thing has ever been claimed of a 3DS to WiiU port.

Well then, do you think sales of 500k copies would be enough to make a 3DS to Wii U port profitable?

Also, do you believe that a 3DS to 360 and a 3DS to PS3 port would be doable at significantly lower costs than a 3DS to Wii U port?

Considering Capcom has working models for their MT framework available for everything else and not the Wii U, im assuming any [system] to Wii U will cost more off the bat.

Dont know how its going to be released in Europe since Nintendo published it there, most likely will be getting a slight naming change.

A vita version aswell I hope, it is a portable made game after all.

Capcom: [laughs]

Consumer: [crys]

This games must have been a big disappointment for Capcom to want to port it.

I highly doubt it would sell 1M on X360 and PS3 combined. Unless Capcom intends to advertise it like RE6.

I don't know the cost so I will not guess using a figure for WiiU sales.  As I originally said though Nintendo fans likely own a 3DS already and the 600k or so who did buy it would detract from WiiU sales.  I'm going to make a bold claim and say that there will be a lot less PS3/360 owners who own a 3DS than there will be WiiU owners.

That is indeed a bold claim and it contains the implication that self-proclaimed hardcore gamers will not buy Nintendo hardware, no matter what. (140m PS3/360 owners own less 3DSes than 1m Wii U owners.)

I'll leave you alone now.

Beautifully done, Rol.  lol

A Wii U port just makes sense. I, for one, would double dip. I truly is an awesome ResiEvil game more akin to the old survival horror classics.

The way Capcom is supporting the Wii U, I'd say if this port is happening it will most definitely come to the Wii U.
