I see your point as a "fan" of old school Dante I see why you would get frustrated with this guy. All your points seem legit but you should consider this is just a 15 mintes long demo.

Seriously dood ?

First, we had to wait until we played the damn thing to pass judgement and NOW we have to play the whole thing ?

I am sorry but this is Enslaved 2 with Ninja Gaiden 3-esque battle system and whoever keeps saying how it feels like DMC is lying to our face.

I thought it was pretty bad, the artstyle and graphics are just meh. Also didn't like the gameplay.

Can someone explain the camera system in DMC?

Does DMC 5 really have a player controlled camera?

From what I remember DMC4 had a static camera like all other hacknslash games.

Yep the camera is like the camera in Darksiders. And as I wrote it can be a little bit annoying. But if you like slahers you will have fun with it

Big respect to DMC then. I didn't know this about the DMC series. I love to have freedom over the camera.

PS3 Demo - Demo is fun, mechanics feel solid, graphics are fine, the game immediately reminded me of Shadows of the Damned, at least aesthetically. I wanted to download the 360 demo for comparison but I stopped paying for Gold awhile ago so I can't download the demo yet. But going off of Enslaved, and it looks like the UE3 engine they are using hasn't gone through much in the way of development since Enslaved, it's not much of a stretch to think that the 360 version will be the one to get. (I own Enslaved for both PS3 and 360)

Ok, my impressions then:
The new Dante is not annoying at all. Much more un-bad than I thought he would be.
The fighting feels DMC-ish, but with a different system. Now you effectively use R2 and L2 to "change stances" as it were, by changing the weapon on the fly (kinda like in HS then). This can increase the combo variety by a lot (No, I did not try them all out, but math says it does). The games responsiveness has no problems. The graphics is colorful.
I like it, even though I was trying to do "old" Dante Rebellion combos, so I sucked at fighting.
