Yeah not the greatest thing haha but it's a wonderful breath of fresh air when most developers/publishers are fixated on taking your money with overpriced items. I love playstation plus and have been a member for a while. Unfortunately I can't buy the 1-year because I'm going into the air force, so I've been getting 3 months.

With the new games coming out free for vita like Uncharted and Gravity Crash, I'm deciding on weather or not I should finally get one.

Good luck with the Air Force. I just had a friend leave for it as well.

I love how you only have two options....There needs to be a 3rd saying no.

And no it isn't.  Steam is SOOOOOOOO much better than PSN it's not even close.

XBL hs better functions and is much easier to navigate as well as more social.

PSN is still third.  The games that I want I get so I don't need to pay extra for games I don't care about.

Fight Club quote-"Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need."
That is how I pretty much feel about PS+

Steam is on PC and he been out wayyyyyyy before PSN Plus was ever thought of. I've been on Steam since before I got the original Xbox. Keep trying to beat down a promising product in the console realm when in the console realm it offers the most on consoles and keeps giving. To do what Microsoft with social gaming can be done easily for free, they just feel like making you pay for it.

PSN isn't even the best console online *sigh* While PS+ is nice I as well as many other people see no use for it.

And go ahead and complain about the price for XBL, still doesn't change a thing about the quality differences.

And steam is still way better than PSN so don't start hyping up PS+ like it's the best free service either.  I will even go so far as to saying Steam is just as good as XBL if not better.

Quick note to you mister: I'm not talking aboout PSN, this is about PS+, the premium version of PSN if you haven't heard of it.

You are, S.T.A.G.E. isn't.  And I still say Steam has a better deal.  Just wait until the christmas sale this year on steam.  Guarantee I can probably get all three Assassin's Creed 3,  Dishonored, and Farcry 3 for under 30$ on steam.  All new games and I bet you will find all three for under 30$.  Not even talking about all the games that I'll probably get between 1-10$ that are worth way more than that

One of the best things for sure, yes

Hope MS takes this approach next gen to make Gold an easier buy. Giving away 3+ year old games that have tons of DLC is a smart approach.

I do commend Sony on PS Plus.

LOL That would be considered kind from Microsoft. The represent the Amercan business model, which means you dont deserve it.

3+ year old games that nobody downloads anymore that had a fair share of DLC after their launch.

This would spur Gold purchases, increase customer satisfaction, and leverage money from seperate DLC purchasing.

Sounds American to me with only a sprinkle of kindness

Gold Purchases are forced unless you dont value online while having a 360, what are you talking about?

This is hypothetical, thought you knew that. I praised PS Plus, just leave it at that ok :P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I love Steam too and it is great value for your money. I think PS+ is better because it gives you free games, cloud storage and automatic updates. If Steam gets an equal service like Steam+ where you get free games and huge discounts, I'd love that too. But for now, PS+ gets mah vote.

I'm not talking about PSN, I'mma be talkin bout PS+! And content wise, I think its the greatest thing. Free games cmon son!

PS+ is a good idea but you are still paying for those games through subscriptions.  As soon as you stop paying you lose those games, so yes they are making all that money back in the long run.  Some people like it and others don't so I'm glad you like it, I just don't see the need for it for my needs.  I get better deals personally on steam than I would on PS+

What does that matter? You keep your trophies, you got your experience and half of those games dont even permenantly stay anyway. It's on a constant monthly cycle. The only ones that stay for good are the library they give you.

That is your opinion and I will respect that but you are still paying subscriptions for those games so I don't agree that you are right.  Seeing as how 98% of the games would give me on PS+ I honestly don't care about because A. I already own it, or B.  I Don't own it because I don't care about it.

PS+ in my opinion is a random rental service.

Let me put it this way.  PS+ is what around $5 a month correct?  That comes out to $60 a year.  So they give you games as long as you are paying for that subscription.  Most games are really not worth all that much in the first place.  When you stop paying all those games are gone.  Or you can get a service like gamefly and rent full priced games for $7 a month.  You get to choose what games you rent instead of being random.  Or you can go to redbox and rent games for like $2 a night. All of these seems like a better deal to me as I get to choose what I get.

But PS+ is just too awesome to pass up on! Once you + you never go back, I subbed for 3 4 years or something just because how awesome the service is. Oh and it was 25% off in Europe!

No. It's merely a step Sony were prepared to take to try and improve market share. They aren't doing this out of the kindness of their hearts... even if some here think they are. They are a business.

No one was saying PS+ was a charity system. Stop talking about Sony's perspective in this, can't you for once talk about your own, your gamer's perspective? For gamers this is the most value out of every other online service they get. Once you subscribe a whole new world opens with free games and bunch of other things.
