Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Halo 4 below Reach and Halo 3 1st week in the UK.

When are we getting U.S. numbers? 40k between this and Reach? That doesn't seem like much. If it were 40K over, would that be a good reason for MS fans to rejoice? I dunno.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Being launched between AC3 and Black Ops 2 may have caused that. But this game was clearly the least anticipated by fans and the press among Halo 3 and Reach.

Excuses. Excuses.

This game was masively hyped and it had the biggest marketing campaign ever. People are getting tired of Halo or they are saving their money for Call of Duty.(at least in the UK)

i think its cool how the Americans are Halo`s savior

Yup. If it was 40k higher everyone would have been prasing the hell out of it. But its lower, so they are downplaying it and saying America is the most important....which is true but still, its just another excuse.

Halo 4 around 340k

Halo Reach around 380k

It's not really that lower btw

. I mean seriously 40k units guys? Way to overhype this crap. They will make up those sales via word of mouth and the fact that It's Halo 4, a numbered title in the series. It will outsell Reach in the long run, maybe not Halo 3 but MS will be profiting fo sho.

It's just that simple.

This makes me a sad panda.

I've been spreading the word amongst people I know and I've already persuaded 3 people to buy it who haven't bought it on launch day.

Anyway, there's no doubt about whether this will be a long-term success or not. Word of mouth will be massive! Quality sells

Still gunna reach your prediction lol

Unlikely. Legs will be cut short by a new Xbox and increasing competition from Call of Duty, Battlefield...etc.

Halo isn't the biggest FPS out there anymore, and it shows.

This really means nothing. You can not judge any sales number for these types of games and this close to Christmas until after the Holidays. With the economy the way it is I can see a lot of "Wait till Christmas" coming out of the mouths of parents and loved ones.

Right. You don't know this. But even if its true, so what? You are becoming a bit frantic in your rabid pursuit of downplay and negativity. You ok?

I'd have thought you would have been more concerned with vita selling 45k TOTAL software for the whole of October in the UK. After all you are a PS fan now.

Good heavens Kowen, calm down.

Only Call of Duty beats Halo on a Single Platform sales wise... Nothing else comes close. (FPS)
