What is the best pro wrestling game of all time?.....shut up everyone......its WWF No Mercy(Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 in the east). Now a lot of younger readers may wonder how a game without PSN/Live intergration, and DLC season passes was the best wrestling game ever, well it is. A mix of controller simplicity, tons of moves from all different styles, a great reversal and finisher system, character creation, barbed wire bats, and a lot of local madness for those of us that have real life(not LIVE) friends.

So some guys about 10 years ago decided to work on a game engine just for wrestling, inspired by No Mercy. Sadly their character models and whatnot resemble 10 year old models as they wanted to work on the foundation of the game before they went further. Flash foward to 2012 these guys have a full engine for a wrestling game with crappy graphics. They need money to add graphics, game modes, online, character trading, new moves(like Rybacks botch finisher into BIG clothsline) and other stuff to make this the spiritual successor of No Mercy. So if you are tired of the yearly rehash of WWE THQ games come and donate to their kickstarter and make this happen. They also have a webpage here. Its the best $15 you will ever spend on wrestling games this year(unless you want a bunch of WWE 13 DLC).

Best wrestling game ever? Perhaps the N64 THQ WCW vs NWO. However, I would like to state that Power Pro Move Wrestling (PS1) was the best. Reason why? Because I used to spin a friends little brother around like the special move (not sure which character) by his knees and fling him into a couch.

Anyway, I'm not going to donate the $25 but if the game DOES come out and it's good, I'll give it a good home.

For the record, you're all wrong and Zen Nihon Puroresu: Ouja no Tamashii for PS1 is the best wrestling game ever.

But this looks pretty sweet, in a scrappy sort of way.

I watched the video and it's on the only platform I don't game on--the PC. Still, the guy in the video seems pretty passionate about his cause and wrestling and wrestling games are causes near and dear to my heart. Guess what? I'm going to donate the $25 to a game that I will NEVER play.

And thus, the deed is done. Quick and painless.
