The problem I guess is that people mostly just see the shovel ware and says "there you go! Wii don't have core 3rd party titles"

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

That's true, Wii had way too much shovel ware games during it life (more than any other previous consoles). But that's not Nintendo's fault, it was small and "incompetent" developers who just wanted quick money.

Nintendo is my favorite, followed by Sony and then MS. That said, I would love to see a new shooter from Nintendo, or a futuristic game.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

Yeah, that's what happens if you don't have strict NES-rules of how many games 3rd party developers may put out on your system per year!!!

Actually the seal was only meant to be that the game worked on the NES.  Didn't mean the game was approved by Nintendo of being quality.

Really? well that's a bummer. I always thought it was about the game being bug's free and that kinda of stuff. You learn something everyday.

"The gold starburst seal was first used by Nintendo of America, and later Nintendo of Europe. It is displayed on any game, system, or accessory licensed for use on one of its video game consoles, denoting the game has been properly licensed by Nintendo. The seal is also displayed on any Nintendo-licensed merchandise, such as trading cards and apparel."

That thing is still on the back of PAL boxes. Check your games collection.

Besides, all this seal ever meant is that the software is officially approved by Nintendo and will work with your system (unlicensed third parties flooded the Atari 2600 with games that would constantly freeze or not even start up at all which played a role in the USA's video games crash). It's not an indicator for quality.

Still, NES didn't seem to have half the shovelware as Wii does/did...
