VGC estimate 4.25 million first week for Reach... I pointed the Microsoft PR showed Reach not outsold Halo 3... check data now to see who was right.

great sales, even though i predicted around 3.7m i was actually expecting a bit more.

Could do more but could be right on the money.  Remember many people dont pick up pre orders on day 1.  Somewhere in the 4 million range for week 1 sounds about right

I read somewhere about Hurrican Sandy's damage messing up deliveries.

Europe has a different and BETTER taste in games than the USA.
Alone that CoD on the PS3 is selling better than on the 360 here shows how much we love more the PS3 and thats a good thing.
We hold gaming still high and give developers that aren't make generic shooter # 23424 a chance.

PS3 is king here and Halo isn't available on that platform and people won't buy a platform for one decent game that they can't get ten times better on their beloved platform like everything else.

Oh and shame the USA really doesn't love Gran Turismo(5) or even their own Racing Franchise Forza(4).Different taste in games and different interest in genres.

Your list seems full of generic shooters to me.  Yes, Europe prefers the PS3, but your list doesn't prove any higher taste in games than an American list.  And Halo 4 is number 2 on that list.  Yep, you guys definitely don't buy systems for one game.

I think the only differance between that list and an American one, is that PS3 multiplat games are higher than the 360 ones.  So much better taste.

The list is basically indetically at US list how is the taste better ?? How is  liking GT5 means having better taste ? haha that game had nothing great.

Here in Portugal the taste for gaming is as "bad" as in the US, the best selling are Call of Duty and Fifa, although i love both you seem to think that is "bad" taste so my friend let me say this to you, the best selling game on Europe will be Black Ops 2 followed by Fifa 13.

You all need to lay off of ethomaz. He's just waiting for the MS PR, which they release after a big Halo launch, to confirm VGC numbers. 

I'm curious how they'll be as well. MS usually states revenue although this time there are only two versions of the game and no legendary edition to artificially increase the revenue.

Probably won't add much to launch figures, but the JP launch wasn't until today 11/8. I should have my Limited Edition waiting for me once I get home from work!

Well, keeping in mind that even I bought it one day after release, I would expect very great sales throughout the rest of the week :P
