This exactly.  A lot of games will most likely get delayed.  And really there is only a few titles that looks like it will be ground breaking.  


define ground breaking? a really really good game or something that changes the indusrty with how good it is?

no way would EA delay battlefied, since medal of honor pretty much floped both sales and quality wise, battlefield is EA's only hope to take over that FPS they been dying to dominate for years. christmas release is 100% sure so they can go head to head with COD

Ground Breaking was probably a bad choice of words but there looks to be only a few really good games next year.  I'm not going to name them because then you will have people argue.  

Edit:  In fact I can only think of two games that looks like it will be a for sure really good game

Guillemot mentioned the highly-anticipated game during the financial call as "coming next year". 

with watch dogs releasing next year its only adding to the list of huge game releases coming in the next year

Tomb Raider

Metal Gear Solid : Ground Zero

Metal Gear : Revengeance

Gears of War : Judgment 

BattleField 4

Next year Call Of Duty

Next year Assassin's Creed

Monster Hunter 4

With other noticable games coming out such as

Splinter Cell : Black List, Puppeteer,Dead Space 3, Crysis 3, Dead Island RipTide, Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 3, Fuse, Pikman 3, Sly Cooper 4 :Thieves in time, Tear Away, Soul Sacrifice, Killzone Mercenary, Bayonetta 2, Castlevania - Lords of Shadow 2, Luigis Mansion: Dark Moon and Rayman Legends

And with all that next gen consoles are expected to hit store shelves around christmas!! and most probably some huge system sellers along with them! i know its a bit of a stretch claming next year to be the biggest year in gaming history, but from the looks of it 2013 is certainly a contender for that tittle, what do you guys think?

Note : im not much of a nintendo or portable gaming guy, so i really dont know much games coming out next year for the WiiU,3Ds and Vita so if you have any suggestions of games let me know so i can add them!


You forgot to mention Pikmin 3 and probably a portable Zelda.

I meant to say battlefied 3.

Games like starwars 1313, Metal Gear solid ground zero and Watchdogs have only been shown running on PCs. I'd expect these titles to  get next-gen releases, looking like whats been demoed so far. The ps3/360 versions will be far less impressive. Similar to the difference betwen battlefied 3 on PC vs Console.

this posts sadenss me very much haha, i see atleast 10 games that very very great chance of being good. it sadenss me because most of the games on that list arent games that we see every year or so, there is a huge diversity in genre's and games and not the usuall CoD, AC, battlefield. and not a huge see of CoD clones FPS games, even though there are some (looking at you crysis 3) but there are quite a new IP's that look awesome

of course the games will be less superior on current gen consoles, but even if they are ported to next gen consoles this thread is about the year 2013, so it doesnt matter what platform it releases on it matters when it releases

Watch Dogs looked too good to be on current-gen consoles. I'm assuming that the demo was running on a high end PC or they have hired some wizards at Ubisoft.

Pikmen is in the second list, its right after fuse and before sly cooper, and i wont a "probably" game that hasnt been announced, lets just keep it to confirmed 2013 games

Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back into 2014, and '13 definitely could be a monumental year. I'm expecting a 3D HD Mario game, too, by no means a small release.
